I can't recommend this audio interview strongly enough. Professor Chalmers Johnson discusses his latest book NEMESIS; THE LAST DAYS OF THE AMERICAN REPUBLIC.

It's a very eloquent address by a genuine scholar. According to Johnson if we persist in our foreign imperialism we will become a dictatorship. Just as Rome did --

Speaking of missile defense:

"It's why, in the case of Iran, the only logical thing to do is to learn to live with a nuclear-armed Iran. It's inevitable for a country now surrounded by nuclear powers -- the United States in the Persian Gulf, the Soviet Union, Israel, Pakistan and India. The Iranians are rationalists and recognize the only way you're ever going to dissuade people from using their nuclear power to intimidate us is a threat of retaliation. So we are developing our minimal deterrent, and we should learn to live with it."

Why are we putting missile defense systems in Poland to protect us against
Iranian missiles? Wouldn't it make more sense to put them in Turkey?
You may have addressed this already, but I am curious as to whether
you are thinking the same thing I am thinking as to the real reason.

You wankos are letting your country be taken from you. This is the same country your forefathers sacrificed so very much to create.

Maybe you deserve to lose it.

HOW MANY AMERICANS LIVE IN MEXICO?

...national identity cards for foreigners

by Bill Masterson

Published: February 2002

One million Americans now live in Mexico, and 600,000 of that number are in Mexico City, according to research conducted by a university professor in Mexico. These new projections, substantially greater than what both the Mexican and U.S. Government agencies heretofore have suggested, appear to be nothing more than the byproduct of sloppy research. While the guessing game continues, Mexico has announced a national identity card program for foreign residents, and the creation of a database to track their whereabouts. The national identity card program may finally produce an the answer to the question, "How many Americans live in Mexico?"

Actually, I disagree with Chalmers Johnson about 911. This requires some explanation.

He actually provides a lot of documentation about the full extent of CIA covert operations throughout the world.

It's a dark bloody history -- that Americans know almost nothing about. The US government kept the Gladio operation in Europe secret for 45 years. It finally surfaced in Europe in 1990 -- and caused huge outrage across the continent -- anger aimed at America and the UK. British intelligence (MI-6) was also involved.

The dirty tricks involved a whole array of activities to subvert democratic processes -- including tassassinations, assassination attempts, at least a half dozen coup attempts -- several of them successful -- smear campaigns to discredit political figures the US didn't like, bombings (staged to look like the work of communists), beatings, providing money, arms and military training to right wing extremists, on and on ....

But to this day the US press have not reported this dirty linen here in America. So the average American is clue -less

Since the 1990s the US corporate media have served a propaganda role here -- and have failed to inform and educate the American people. This is how/why at the start of Bush's 2003 invasion of Iraq 70% of Americans believed the lie that Saddam had WMDs, and also the other lie -- that Al Qaeda and Saddam were in cahoots.

Now when you put all of this together -- it's only a short step to the conclusion that 911 was an inside job -- not the work of foreigners.

Given the abundant evidence that the US intelligence community was staging false flag operations around the world for more than half a century.

Why would they not do the same dirty tricks here at home? Of course they would. Assuming only an increasingly unstable US dollar/economy. The men who rule us are becoming desperate.

In a few days I'll post a breaking report. We've identified the mystery plane that circled the White House on 911. It so happens it was the E-4B the most advanced electronics platform the US military has. We have definitiive hard evidence.

Someone is going to have a lot of explaining to do.

A short step? No. A mind boggling leap. 911 was blowback. Plain and simple.

And so

And so it makes your "I'm mad as hell and not gonna take it anymore" attitude, wagging your finger in our faces, scolding us like little children stance seem almost comical.

In the clear light of reason it's a small and logical step.

I fully recognize, however, that for psychological, cultural and emotional reasons it is, as you say, a huge mind boggling leap.

No nation wants to admit that its own government would do this. Yet we have case after case where governments do -- including our own.

You should trust the clear light of reason.

I wonder what the timeline is for the US turning into Rome because of our "imperialism" - considering that the US has been messing around outside our borders for well over a century now.

Those numbers are deceptive. How many of those "Americans" are children born in the U.S. to illegals who then returned to Mexico? I'd say at least 20%.

All I know is that Bush is the real "evil-doer"....

------------------------------------------------------------------
George Bush goes to a primary school to talk to the
kids to get a little PR.

After his talk he offers question time. One
little boy puts up his hand and George asks him his
name.

"Stanley," responds the little boy.

"And what is your question, Stanley?"

"I have 3 questions.
First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the
support of the UN?
Second, why are you President when Al Gore got
more votes?
And third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden?"

Just then, the bell rings for recess.
George Bush informs the kiddies that they will
continue after recess.

When they resume George says, "OK, where were we?
Oh, that's right: question time. Who has a
question?"

A little girl puts up her hand. George points her
out and asks her name.

"Stephanie," she responds.

"And what is your question, Stephanie?"

"Actually, I have 5 questions.
First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the
support of the UN?
Second, why are you President when Al Gore got
more votes?
Third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden?
Fourth, why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes
early?
And fifth, what the hell happened to Stanley?"
