You guys see all those dead bodies piled up. EVERY freaking morning the streets are littered with the dead. Really depressing. I knew a lot of good Iraqis that came in and worked at the airport. I imagine a lot of them are dead now.

My good friend in the national guard got order that he is going to be deployed to Afghan. Not as bad as Iraq I guess but if you go our prayers and wishes are for your safe return.

Just MHO here, Atlas, but I wouldnt call it Civil War. Only because the title Civil War connotates a some what organized conflict with a limited number of combatants, ie 2 or 3 groups. Like the Russian Revolutions, the US Civil War, the War of the Roses, etc.
This in Iraq is worse. Its just a f-in mess. Its tons of little groups, all with their own agendas. To me, its more like as if all the cops and decent people pulled outta Los Angeles and left it to the gangs. Its just violence and mayhem for violence and mayhems's sake.
Again, JMHO here, but there is no external solution here, militarily or otherwise. What needs to happen is that these people get their fill of blood and gore. They need reach a point that they want no more of it. They have to be able to say, "I dont care that (fill in other group) blew up our mosque, we need peace, not more bombings." "I dont care that (fill in the other group) killed my wife and kids while they were shopping, I am not going to be a suicide bomber."
Until that moment happens and until they get their fill, this eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth thing is gonna go on.
The only other solution is to put a tyrant in there and clamp down on everyone, ala Saddam. But that is just a temporary fix. Sooner or later, tyrants fall. See the fall of the Soviet Union or the fall of Yugoslavia after Tito and the cold war.
What they need is leaders who preach peace and people who are receptive to the message. And in an area where tribal fueds from 500 or 1000 years ago are still relevant, I aint holding my breath.
