Question: If you're a team GM or coach, how much does the Combine affect your draft choices? IMO, I want to watch game film and see production. I would be highly wary of a player who hasn't done much on the field and then suddenly blows everyone away at the Combine. Frankly, I'm beginning to wonder what they're worth, other than another NFL revenue stream. Thoughts?

awesome!

this is the best thing about NFL Network imo is the off season stuff. They have actually done a real good job with this.

Cant wait to se what certain players run and what not,

In an interview Shanny said he mainly looks at game tape, the combine can help you, but it wont hurt you. Thats what Shanny said Rohirrim

You are right about game day production being more important. What the combine does do is get the players in front of the coaches where all of the colleges' hype about size, strength and speed are put to rest. I think the interview portion of the combine is also more important than most folk want to admit.

I agree the interview portion is probably the most important part of the whole thing. I would definitely want to get an idea of what some guy's headspace is before I hand him a check for a couple mil.

I'd say about 85 percent is based on on field performance in college. The combine is to make sure you didn't miss something like an injury, player is really slow, weak, stupid etc.

yeah, be careful of what you wish for, I upgraded to a higher tier on my cable service to get the NFL Network and my bill went up $30 and I don't get their "Live" games...the NFL Network sucks...
