Lets share our weird arse dreams.

I had a weird dream today. I was in a lunch hall and I was eating pasta. I noticed some itallian sausages on the table and all of a sudden a brilliant idea popped into my head(well, I thought it was brilliant in my dream) I had everybody clear the table and I put one itallian sausage on the table. I motioned like I was going to karate chop the sausage with my hand and told everyone I was going to break the table without breaking the sausage. Everybody was very surprised and a guy asked what they get if I break the sausage and I told him they get the broken sausage. But then three pretty girls came up and asked what they get if I dont break the sausage and break the table. I told them they get my sausage. :) Anyways, I did what I said I was going to do, but never got to keep my promise to the girls :(

So what is the symbolism of this dream? I know, I know, I must be a kinky Itallian pervet. :kubiak: I am just surprised how this dream turned into something sexual.

I have premonitions sometimes - really wacked out stuff that I don't even think is possible when I wake up. A few months later, I'll have this deja vu and then realize the wacked out dream just happened in real life. I never get the good dreams like yours.

I once had this dream that Peyton Manning finally managed to be out-choked by the opposing team in both the AFC Championship game and in the Superbowl to win it all.

That was some ****ed up ****.

Lets share our weird arse dreams.

For many years I've had dreams that I could fly. It usually starts off small, like noticing while I'm walking down the sidewalk that my feet are skimming along just above the ground... and if I walk with a sort of "ice-skating" motion I can glide along on the air. As the dream progresses, I get better and better at flying, until I can soar and swoop as high as I want to go.

These nights, when I have the flying dreams, are always the best nights' sleep that I get. I wake up in the morning feeling really charged up and ready to tackle the day. That's unusual for me, cuz I'm not a morning person.

There was a period in the mid-90s, while I was in a bad marriage, that I didn't have the flying dreams. It was a dark time in my life, full of stress and depression. One night, after I'd started thinking about getting out, I had the first flying dream in about three years. It was like I had to learn to fly all over again, and it was a slow process... but even so, it felt great to have that freedom from the earth again.

m.

The brain never sleeps...it takes small vacations to amuse itself. If you pose yourself a problem or question, your mind will work tirelessly on it. Try it. That's why people say "let me sleep on it"...altho it's often a delaying tactic as well. Instead of losing sleep over something, just pose the question with the belief that by the morning, you will have an answer...try it, you might not like the answer, but you likely will get one. The soft drive will work on that as long as it takes to satisfy itself...then it's back to the sexy stuff. Ha!

I don't really remember my dreams. But when i do - i'm usually visiting someone and conversing with them.

But honestly i don't think i'm in my body when i sleep, so that's why i don't remember it. I'm always tired as well, even after 7hrs.

For me, there are 3 types of dreams. There is the typical sexual, run of the mill adventures, and occasionally the VIVID dream in technecolor and wakes you up and you can remember well. It's like your mind is poking you with a stick to pay attention.

It's also curious how the mind basically erases your memory of dreams, like it's copyrighted or something. It's kinda like it gives you the keys back to the car when you wake. I've studied dreams and it's still dumbfounding to everyone.

I can tell you Beezer's tail fell off when I pulled on it...I was trying to reattach it when I woke up...it wasn't what I could call a nightmare, but it woke me up and I laughed at myself. He has been bitten right above his tail. I very rarely have nightmares, which surprises me.

The 4th type and very rare for me is the premonition. I've had two genuine ones, not just deja vu. I had a sympathetc phychic response once but it was in a waking state regarding injury.

Lost loved ones is another odd phenomenon...it's an ongoing debate whether they are afterlife visitations or the mind trying to just cope. I don't know but my dreams were VIVID. I would literally wake up happy that Dad was still here and it took about 15 seconds to realize it was just a dream. It was SO REAL that I would wake up happy I was so convinced...they ended abruptly. Dreams are strange.

Its the same kind of story
That seems to come down from long ago
Two friends having coffee together
When something flies by their window
It might be out on that lawn
Which is wide, at least half of a playing field
Because theres no explaining what your imagination
Can make you see and feel

Seems like a dream
got me hypnotized

I have occasional dreams where I know I'm dreaming at the time and can direct the course of the dream or even choose to wake up or continue sleeping. Most of the time I dream in black and white but on rare occasions have dreamed in color about things that proved to be either something with significant emotional impact, or even predictors of actual future events. Usually my dreams are meaningless gibberish that are utterly unexplainable. A few nights ago I dramed my kid sister was scheming to destroy my garage door... ???

Those are what I call "recreational dreams"....you might have a half-waking and liked the story line, and go right back to it. That's odd as heck also.

If I take a nap during the day, later on at night I have dreams where I
am trying to do something, turn on a light, open a window, something
routine. But I can't move. No matter how hard I try, I just can't get
out of bed to do it. This has happened so many times that I am now
aware that I am dreaming when this happens. So I am actually able
to force myself to wake up and thus resolve the problem. I also
avoid falling asleep in the afternoon.

I dreamed I saw St. Augustine,
Alive as you or me,
Tearing through these quarters
In the utmost misery,
With a blanket underneath his arm
And a coat of solid gold,
Searching for the very souls
Whom already have been sold.

"Arise, arise," he cried so loud,
In a voice without restraint,
"Come out, ye gifted kings and queens
And hear my sad complaint.
No martyr is among ye now
Whom you can call your own,
So go on your way accordingly
But know you're not alone."

I dreamed I saw St. Augustine,
Alive with fiery breath,
And I dreamed I was amongst the ones
That put him out to death.
Oh, I awoke in anger,
So alone and terrified,
I put my fingers against the glass
And bowed my head and cried.

Most recent weird dream was that I was stuck on a research platform out in the middle of the ocean, with no outside communication. So there's lots of drama going on, sexual tension, fights with other crew members, etc. Basically a regular primetime soap opera.

So then it gets weird.... all of a sudden the station gets attacked by pirates (real pirates with AK-47s and zodiac boats, not parrots and peg legs). So I dispatch with several of the pirates in rather gruesome ways (Thanks Tom Clancy)... after I've killed a whole bunch of them, the pirates finally overwhelm me and just when I think they're about to kill me, they tell me that I misunderstood and they were really there to take me back to their pirate land because I was their Chosen One.

Then I woke up, but I assume that I went on to do great things in Pirate Land.

My favorite dreams are vivid dreams that you can control, especially if you realise its a dream. Talk about fun.:pimp: The dreams I hate the most are vivid nightmares, about 90% of the time I am Lying in bed and cant move. Its dark and I can hear things running around in the room. Its really freaky. I've only got to see what was running around in the room once(thanks to lights being on in the dream) and it scared the hell out of me. There were little creatures about 2 feet tall that I have never seen before in my life. One was at the foot of my bed and the other came into view from my left. The one at the foot of the bed was doing something but then saw me looking at him and mumbled something to other one. Then the one on the left moved up to my face just a couple inches away. And then I woke up about 10 seconds later. Damn, I wish I could draw good. I couldnt get those things out of my head for at least 3 days. Sometimes when I wake up I will see a spider walking up the wall. Its weird, one of the times I saw it, I jumped out of bed and fell onto the floor. I got up and moved closer to it and I put my finger right through it and it phased out. I have seen this spider about 10 times, not sure if its the same size all the time. Anyways, my favorite dreams besides good vivid ones are the end of the world type, scavenging for stuff.Haha, I remember seeing a Atomic bomb go off and i hid in a locker and I was saved. Also zombie and Alien invaders ones are pretty cool. I have been trying to see if sleeping on one side has any effect on vivid dreams, so far sleeping on the right seems to produce more. But who knows how many times I rollover at night.

But were you dreaming that you were laying on your right?

I have a recurring nightmare that bothers me. I am on an airplane that is taking off from NYC. As we take off the plane is flying between skyscrapers on either side, as if the runway were 5th avenue. The planes wing tips are barely missing the buildings on either side, and there are power and telephone lines that are constantly barely avoided. The plane is in a constant and steady climb, yet we never are able to clear the height of the buildings. Everyone on the plane is absolutely quiet and still.
The climb seems to go on forever and ever.....but never ends, and the expected crash never occurs.. I usually wake up in a cold sweat.

I have had this dream intermittently for more than 25 years, and I now recognise when its occuring and can stop it when I want...yet usúally I don't, and let it run its unchanging course.

Now THAT is weird!

Dreams, especially recurring ones, are a product of things in our sub-conscience. It sounds like you are afraid of failure in some sense and worry about being able to sustain your current level of success without wondering when it will all finally come crashing down. You might also wonder why others don't appear to be concerned with this same thing...

...or you ate a bad burrito.

I used to sleep walk awhile ago, and a couple of times my sleep walking was a little violent, and this story reminded me of one of those nights.

I was still in highschool living in my dad's house, and I don't remember doing this but I woke up my brother and sister doing this, and they told me the story. They told me they woke up to me screaming, "run, there are scorpions on the wall!" and then I proceeded to kick the wall, and that's when I woke up, seeing my brother and sister in my room and a big hole in my wall, having no clue what happend.

Another time, while I was still in highschool, my dad heard me yelling "get out of my house or Im going to call the cops !"and hitting something in my room while I was sleeping, and he opened the door to see I was hitting my dresser. He called my name, and I woke up instantly, and the moment i woke up, a rush of instant pain was in my right fist, and as I brought my hand up to look at it, all my knuckles were bleeding and one of my dresser drawers completely destroyed. I still don't remember doing it.

I remember the first time I was caught sleep walking. I was around 7 years old and apparently I tried to open my front door and leave the house. My mother stopped me and she was trying to talk to me and I was crying my eyes out for some reason. And all I remember is I woke up in the kitchen and I stopped crying, and then my mother told me what happend, and at the time I didn't believe it, and then I went back to bed and my mom slept in the front room so I wouldn't try to do this again. Later my parants put up a chain lock where I couldn't reach so this wouldn't happen again. But I still tried.

But those are the only two times where my sleep walking was violent. I haven't slept walk once since, at least to my knowledge, so hopefully those nights are over.

Wow, 12thMan. I talk in my sleep, quite extensively from what I hear, but nothing on this scale. At least not that I know of.

My roomie in college told me that one night he'd watched and listened as I DJ'd about 20 minutes of my radio show in my sleep. (I ran a weekly hard rock show on the campus radio station -- with all of its astounding 20 watts of power! The signal just about covered the whole campus). The monologue included song intros, wisecracks, a station ID, and even the appropriate hand gestures for working the switches & sound boards.

Other folks over the years have told me about having conversations with me while I sleep. I have no memory at all of those conversations the next day, so gods only know who said what!

That gets especially wild cuz I have multiple personalities. Some of them come out at night, too, when I'm sleeping. They've had conversations with friends, and called people on the phone. I have no memory at all of this the next day, of course. [sigh] My friends will tell me about it, just for my information, if they heard from one of the others during the night. It doesn't happen often, just a handful of times over the last five years or so.

Now, if I could just get the voices in my head to chip in for the rent... :-)

Regards,
m.

Other than that...nothing.

The only thing I've had happen to me that other people have as well was showing up naked to school a couple times.

My friend proceded to walk up next to the sleeping dog, whip out his willie and Pee all over the hall , the floor and the dog. The dog did not appreciate the shower. I stood there dumbfounded by this behavior. When done, my friend buttoned his fly, turned around and went back to bed. I turned on the light and got some towels from the bathroom. His mother got up and said Wooops..not again! He had NO memory of it the next day. The dog started sleeping outside, and my friends mother told me that it was not the first time, and that I should never try to wake my friend up when he did that.

Conventional wisdom is that is the sleep walker isn't violent to just him/her back to bed...it seems more prevelenat with males...women can go crazy at any time. Ha!

You need to just take their hand and lead them back to bed...for some reason they are violent knocking invisible scoripons thru walls, all bets are off.

Last night I dreamed that Taco launched a new version of the Orange Mane that was extremely realistic VR where each thread was a room and each person's avatar would talk. I remember -Slap- was Doctor Cox from Scrubs and the girls in the Ewey gooey whatever club were sitting in wine glasses on motorized rollers rolling around everywhere.

Anyway, it was kind of cool except I got pissed at Taco because he changed the theme of the board from Broncos to The Simpson's so there were these characters from The Simpson's all over the board now. It made me more sad than upset, so I told him it was a Bronco board and he ruined it by switching. He told me to "lighten up because Homer is awesome" and it was his board anyway. So I went to an old, empty thread or chat room or whatever and started digging the floor up and found these big, hidden gems that you find in Duck Tales video game for the original Nintendo. It was weird.

I typically don't remember my dreams but I do know I've dreamed in serial episodes before. IOW, I'll have a dream then dream it again a few days later with more details or further into the story.

I had a recurring dream where I was at a huge party and spotted my girlfriend below from the balcony. But when I got through the crush of people to find her, she was either gone or would not notice me. Try as I might, I could never get her attention. This went on for weeks.

When I was little I used to dream I was peeing off a water fall. This dream happened twice, the first time I woke up peeing on my bother who was screaming at me and the second time my dad woke me up because my best friend was getting the golden shower and screaming. the crazy thing is he is still my best friend.
