Raiders re-signed defensive tackle Terdell Sands to a four-year, $17 million contract. The deal includes a $4 million signing bonus.

The deal includes base salaries of $800,000 (2007), $1.2 million (2008), $1.3 million (2009), and $4.6 million (2010). We had him targeted as a sleeper for a team in free agency, but the 6-7/335-pound Sands will probably get a great chance to push Tommy Kelly to start in 2007.

He has 2 DWIs on his record. He'll probably get a 4 game suspension from the NFL and his next one will probably be a year.

Here is an economical way to bolster the roster: I think the Oline will be fine with Kuper and Pears stepping up. The depth of free agency corners is very weak besides Clements. Will have to draft for depth. We are set at LB unless the FO bites the bullet and cuts Gold to let DJ go back to weakside LB.

3 out of 7 is very attainable
QB-Anthony Wright to back up Cutler
RB-Chris Brown-when healthy is damn good and it is rumored that he wants to come to Denver
WR-Wes Welker-excellent return guy and would be a stud slot receiver
TE-Daniel Graham-all around TE, also is rumored to want to come to Denver
DE-Chris Kelsay--high motor guy to replace Courtney Brown
DT-Randy Starks but I think he is restricted
S-Ken Hamlin or Mike Doss if they are affordable

Turner is a RFA. Pretty sure he'll be tendered at least a 1st rounder, possibly a 1st and 3rd. I think he's a stud and will be within the top 5-7 RBs in the NFL when he goes somewhere else. But the only way that happens in '07 is if someone wants to give up a 1st rounder for him...
