I personally think he will and will be a first ballot lock if he has another year like the last two. I think he will be the next Bronco in but that doesn't necessarily mean he should be the next bronco as that would be gradishar or Zim. Even when Rod is eligable he should be in.

Didn't even think of that he will be most likely.

While I have no doubts that Champ will eventually make it into the HOF, Sharpe will most likely be the next Bronco inducted. There are so many Broncos that should be there... the HOF is a total joke.

Sure but he won't be considered for 45 years and by then hopefully randy gradishar*/zimmerman ect ect ect will already be in by then....

Zimmerman will make it next year.

I'm sure the Broncos will continue to get snubbed. The only locks I see are Sharpe and Bailey.

If by "most likely" you mean that not even Dr. Z will be able to keep him out his first year of eligibility, then yes I agree.

I think TD will make it in time too actually
Paul Zimmerman will find ways to keep our guys out. This year it was G Zimm. When Sharpe comes up for his first ballot, I would BET they find a way to not vote for him. I doubt he makes it in his first try. As that is, I think Sharpe will make it in before Zimm and I think Champ will be a first ballot guy. If Whertl makes it in and he had 40 career INT's... Champ has to be a first ballot guy.

Dr. Z must be in his 70s and Champ's 28. So if he plays another 10 years than waits the required 5, he'll be 43 when he's first eligible. The year will be something like 2021. Dr. Z will be in his mid 80s-early 90s. Which means, Champ will finally be the second Bronco to get in . . . the year after Z is sporting the same pair of shoes . . . say 2025!
Nice work, HOF!

Peter King is just as hurtful to Denver, if not more, than Z is.

I think it's pretty clear by now. Let's use Rod Smith as an example. If he really wants to get into the hall, he should tell the Broncos he wants out of his remaining contract and then he goes and signs with the Jets or the Giants for one season. Then he retires. He gets in on the first ballot.
Is it just me or does anybody think that Peter King doesn't know ShIAT about the NFL for having it be his every day job?
I sent Peter King two emails this week to his mailbag.
On one hand he gave his top 15 QB's in the league right now and he managed to put both Leinart and Young in front of Cutler. While I think all will do well and I'm not knocking the other two, AS A QB, Cutler was superior to them both. He threw nearly as many touchdowns in half the games, while cutting his INT's in half as well. His rating was nearly 20 points higher than Young, and 10 more than Leinart. PLUS, in their only head to head matchup so far, Cutler outplayed Leinart. I don't want to hear about which team who played on because Leinart has more than enough talent to play with in AZ.
The 2nd question I asked is if its fair that Denver, a team that has been 6 super bowls with two wins, and 8 AFC Championship games has ONE Hall Member. Other AFL turned AFC WEST MEMBERS are lapping us six times over. Oakland has 13 hall members, KC has 7 and SD has 6.
A franchise that has been one of the true faces for the AFC's is getting dirt kicked on it every year that they allow this continue. We'll see if King man's up and answers any of the questions.
Pasta-belly just put out an article stating that he thinks its silly that the media is pressing so hard to know who the 40 panel member is voting for. Why? Because we want to know who is stating our players cases and what kind of fight is being put up against them? There is an obvious flaw in the system especially in our cases and the more light we can shed on it, the better.
The hall process is a cruel injustice to our franchise and its proud history.
I'm sure the Broncos will continue to get snubbed. The only locks I see are Sharpe and Bailey.
I agree that Sharpe and Bailey will make it in for sure.
I see TD and Atwater having to wait until their senior membership gets closer.
Rod and Nalen can punch their ticket if they can put together a few more good seasons. I say two more solid seasons and they will make it at some time.
I think a dark horse to make it is John Lynch but I don't know if he'll go in as a Bronco. We would have to win a super bowl or two for him to do that.
Neil Smith has to be somewhere out there in the hall talk I would think. Doubt he would go in as a Bronco even with the two super bowl wins.

I would like to sit down and have a discussion with the HOF voters about Denver.
I would like to hear their rationale for 1 guy in and 6 SB appearances. I dont understand it, so I really want to hear why they seem to think that Denver doesnt deserve at least as many players as SB appearances. There has to be some sort of explanation that can feed me as bull****. Id just like to hear it.

I don't know how the history of the Hall of Fame started, but why do writers get the votes and not former players. I mean, I know there's a veteran's committee, but wouldn't players know more than most of the pot-belly writers out there?

That didn't work for Atwater, what makes you think it'll work for Smith?

Unless Champ gets a ring or 2, there will be 2 Broncos in the HOF in 20 years... Elway and Sharpe.

Hell, Steve Foley had 45 or 46 INts. Maybe he should be in.

Champ will get in because he is the undisputed best player in the league at his position and is playing at as high of a level as Sanders did except he tackles.

Floyd Little, Randy Gradishar, Karl Mecklenburg, Dennis Smith, Louis Wright, Terrell Davis, Gary Zimmerman, and that's just the short list I can think of that deserve to be in the HOF.
Every time I hear Cowboy fans complain about how many players they have in the Hall it drives me crazy. Even the Seahawks have one player, Steve Largant, and they got him in long before John retired.
HOF yea whatever. Should be "Hall of Fame unless you played for the Denver Broncos then you can buy a ticket to get it."

Shanahan?Fair or not, he'll need to win a Super Bowl without Elway.
But if the Cutler-era is going to be as good as I think it will, Shanny will make it into Canton when he retires.

They vote on the Seniors separately this August . . . probably Floyd Little's last chance. Fans who care should start writing the senior selectors early and often in the spring. Everyone send an email to each every week!
There's no earthly reason why someone who had such a huge impact to the Broncos, the AFL and the NFL not be enshrined. Plus, he retired 7th all-time with 5 Pro Bowls . . . heck, don't get me started!

Jeff Legwold is the denver media member with a HOF vote. I would bombard him asking about the complete lack of Broncos in the HOF.

Dan Reeves... if Marv Levy made it than so should Reeves.

Revees should get a look, but not guaranteed a spot. Sharpe and Elway is all I see until Champ retires. While Denver does get the shaft, lets be honest about the situation. Denver has always had good teams but rarely had top flight talent, especially at the skill possitions. Rod is by far the best reciever in franchise history, TD is the same for a RB, but while both were great, their HOF credentials don't match up to some other possition player who were also denied. Didn't get to see Little play so I might be omiting him in this discussion. As for lineman, it is tough, especially when so many see the Denver lineman as dirty players.

Send Legwold compelling stats about Broncos you think should be in the Hall. He compiles his own, but he'll appreciate any new-found nugget. HOF selectors are swayed all the time. Look at Peter King. He was anti-Art Monk, now he's written he'll support him.
Their opinions CAN be changed!
