Interesting. I'd love to get D Grant or K Hanlin also, and this will us do that should Shanny decide too.

S Mike Doss has enjoyed his four-year career in Indianapolis. Now he is ready to move on. Doss and his agent, Tom Condon, informed the Super Bowl champions that Doss would void the fifth year of his contract and become an unrestricted free agent. Doss played in six games this past season before tearing a ligament in his knee in October and landing on injured reserve. Doss said he anticipated being a salary-cap casualty during the offseason. He could be one of the top unrestricted free-agent safeties on the market. S Deon Grant, S Ken Hanlin and S Gibril Wilson are others.

Doss is solid but I wanted Bob Sanders so bad when he came out of Iowa... dammit.

There are worse safeties than Doss but he was a disappointment based on his high draft status...plus his off-field issues compounded by being injury prone makes him very expendable since Bethea stepped up as a rookie for the Colts.

You'll not hear too many Colt fans complaining if he's not re-signed. They dont rate him period.

Pass... I'd sooner stick w/ Fergie & Lynch/Sam Brandon

Doss is a true SS and not very aware in Coverage. He would not be that much of an upgrade for what DEN already has at SS if at all. He would help Solidify INDY's run defense though and its interesting that they think Bethea is half the run support player that Doss is.

So while a lot of us have been hollering to address safety this year, has there been any indication that the Broncos will do so?

Sam Brandon appears the heir apparent to SS, where Lynch should be playing and not FS, but what about FS? Are they content with Ferguson back there?
