So disappointed in this board. tsk tsk
The video isn't up yet, but here's the link to Mason's blog entry about Shanahan's end of the season press conference.

Not a ton in the blog entry, but it's something at this point.
-expects no retirements
-working has not helped him deal with Darrent's death
-AFC should continue dominating for awhile
-Foxy will be the starter

If it doesn't mention who Cutler is banging, we could care less.

Thanks Herc.
Depth of draft is DL, S and OL. Is that a clue?

He should have said firing Coyer and hiring a whole new coaching staff has helped him deal with D Will's death.
I feel good about Foxy as our starter. Say what you want about him but he has had some big plays over the past two seasons in crucial times. Now he is playing for two as well.

comments on the draft was interesting.
Says they dont much stock in the combine, sure a player can help himself, but they still look at the way they played more

Hopefully putting an end to all of the mock drafts that have the Broncos taking a corner in round one......but I doubt it.

You're assuming that the national media will actually do some research and work before they create a mock draft.....

One thing to point out......when he was talking about the evaluating the depth of the draft he mentioned D-line then Safety then O-line......hmmmmmm....i wonder what this means!

Also Im very happy he said Foxy will start so we can stop with getting Asante Samuel or Nate Clements. Or a 1st round CB!

we wont draft a 1st round CB, but i wont be shocked at all if we draft one in the 4th or 5th

Yea I think we will draft one in the later rounds as well, but a lot of mocks had us taking a CB in round 1

Im guessing it means were going something like
1. RB
2. LB
3. WR

At this point I have very little faith in what Shanny says about the draft. He does not tip his cards.

maybe that Broncos will look at a corner and a running back in FA?

Wat corner in FA....asante or clement, NO TOO EXPENSIVE....possibly RB cause Jamal Lewis, Rhodes, Turner, Chris Henry and some others

Guess we are getting Samuel, Clements or drafting a CB in rd 1 since Shanny said Foxworth will be the starter. :~ohyah!:
I don't know what other corners are out there in FA but I would like to bring in a vet CB that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Good that means there is a big chance that Michael Griffin becomes a Bronco on draft day. The guy is a foot-baller.

I rather wait to the 3rd/5th and pick up either Sabby Piscitelli (Oregon Stte) or Mike Johnson (Arizona) and go DL or WR in the 1st and 2nd. Both those guys have size and speed to play in the back field.

Yo, Mike - the best quality and quantity in this draft is WR.

Sounds like Denver is taking a RB in the 1st round.
I think Shanahan wants Ricky Williams.

Yeah, because that research would show that we are brimming over with depth at cornerback, not that we have a nickleback moving into a starters role and a guy who has barely played moving in the nickle role. Good to go there ::)
Did you guys know Shanahan has a place in Cabo.

I wonder if NFL coaches are drug tested.:pimp:
I saw him hanging upside down in the Giggleing Marlin doing shots of Jose Cuervo (sp)
Emmit Smith and Joe Montana come to town too.
O J Simpson had money down on a house in Palmilla when his brutal crime hit the headlines. They sent his deposit back. True story.

Truth or Smokescreen?
Not to sound cold (God bless Darnett) but do the Broncos get a extra draft pick because of the sad sad loss of D Will?

Most interestingly, I thought, were his comments about a possible trade of Plummer and that there were several teams possibly interested in his services. That may be of some significance. But he said that he wouldn't mind having him back....
Jake Plummer is TJ's personal emetic. Please stand back.....

First don't believe anything Shanny says regarding the draft, and second, the prority isn't WR.We will probabably waste a pick in the second day tho. Just watch.
