In another example of censorship the AAFES retail stores (Army Air Force Exchange Service) on USAF bases are not carrying this months issue of playboy magazine because it contains nude photos of an Air Force training instructor ebrioled in a scandal about the pics. I am wondering if they realize that I can drive off base and buy one at the store? In any event this is ridiculous and goes to show that they think they can control what we read, view or watch. I understand the rationale beind it but disagree with it. This will only serve to sell more magazines off base and will actually slightly cut into what would have been a hot seller at any exchange.

With respect to this sort of thing, they can and will prohibit it. They have their reasons and full authority to do so. And, I do support it. Sure they know they can drive off base, however in principal they won't support this sort of thing from one of the members of the armed forces....dman

Stop acting like an airman. Its totally logical for them not to sell the mag. The woman is in trouble, big scandal and all with the mag, and selling it would be like an endorsement. If I was in charge of the BX I wouldnt sell it either. Let em go to 7-11.

You'd get the little questions from airmen as well as her defense saying "If it was so bad of her to do this spread, then why is the AF endorsing it by selling it in their stores?"

Spot on....it may have an effect on this "instructor's" positional authority over her students...etc..etc....not conducive to good order and discipline, that's for sure..dman

well the Miltary isnt a democracy , you sign up , you agree to certain terms and conditions ......... what alot of people dont understand is , you are not a citizen, you are the PROPERTY of the US goverment , and as long as you wear that brand , you will conduct yourself according to their rules and regs .......just like the guy who refuses to go to war , I am on his side , but he needs jail time ......... He made a stand now a price has to be paid .......

Yep, pretty much it. Live by the rules, or pay the price, it's a simple formula for success....dman

I'm pretty sure they're aware of ur posession of transportation. perhaps they just dont want the implications of selling, and presumably running a profit off of naked pictures of their own servicemen/women.

Sorry about your CD bro they do that s%$# alot. I remember being down range when...ah hell now I can't remember the movie but they held it and wouldn't sell it something in 04. Anyway newspapers started catching on and so they started selling it (Ferenhieght 911) that was it.

Also in an uninteresting story I was down range in 02 when "The Eminem show" came out. They had gotten thier shipment a few days prior to the actual release of the album but were doing thier sort of new goods near the front counter (It was a PX in a small collapsable building with no storeroom) anyway my buddy and i saw the box and asked if they were selling it. the lady said sure and so I became the first guy downrange with that CD. My buddy and I wasted no time bootlegging that bit## around the camp. We didn't sell them we just burnt and gave away in the spirit of communes

Go to gorillamask.net and search through the links. I found the series of pics on there. I don't want to post the exact link because I can't remember what the CoC says about that. If Taco gives me permission, I'll find them and link them.

*** Edit - Nevermind - the link is still there, but it looks like it was disabled.

Some of the Playboy shots are on the net, but you have to look for them yourself. Just search for "airman posing for Playboy", or something like that...

Michael more is an idiot.

As far as everything else goes.... they (the military) will sell youCd's while you are deployed..... they will sell you a 50 Cent CD laced with profainities, derrogitory remarks towards women, glorifying gangs, and the works.... but when NoFX comes out with a CD that is much more thought provoking, they wont sell it because it questions the president.
