Well, the starting lineup for the East and West has been announced, and they are:

EAST Starters
Guard D. Wade, Heat
Guard G. Arenas, Wizards
Center S. O'Neal, Heat
Forward L. James, Cavaliers
Forward C. Bosh, Raptors

WEST Starters
Guard K. Bryant, Lakers
Guard T. McGrady, Rockets
Center Y. Ming, Rockets
Forward T. Duncan, Spurs
Forward K. Garnett, Wolves

So, you get to pick 7 more guys in the East and 8 more guys in the West. (I'm pretty sure it's been confirmed that Yao won't be playing.)

Who ya got?

My guys:

EAST Reserves
Dwight Howard (Really should be starting, what a crock)
Caron Butler
Jason Kidd
Jermaine O'Neal
Rip Hamilton
Joe Johnson
Emeka Okafor

WEST Reserves
Dirk Nowitzki
Steve Nash
Carmelo Anthony
A. Stoudemire (Starter For Yao)
Carlos Boozer
Allen Iverson
Shawn Marion
Josh Howard

And yes, feel free to blast me for taking 'Melo, despite missing 15 games. Like I was going to leave him off. :)

Melo is IN!

Didn't they poll the coaches, and most all agreed Melo shouldn't be punished fr the suspension when choosing reserves?

Yeah they did... I didn't read the article, but heard something about it.

And rather then editing my original post, I do want to make a change to my picks. Dirk got hosed there, so instead of Amare starting at Center for Yao, I'd move KG to starting Center and move Dirk into a starting Forward spot.

Unless there is pressure from Stern NOT to take Anthony because the suspension, he should get in. He still has enough games to qualify as the leading scorer in the league, and when was the last time the league's leading scorer didn't make it?

Also, there is an outside shot that Camby makes it too.

I pretty much agree with this 100%. Boozer, Howard and Elton Brand are fighting for the last two spots on my list. Howard should be in, but every time I've seen him, he's put up a clunker of a game like last night (except for the one against the Nugs). I apparently keep catching him on his off nights. The fact that Nash and Nowitzki aren't starting is a crock. Same with Dwight Howard.

As for the East, well, I agree with Charles Barkley. Last night he had to chose his reserves. For his backup guards he picked "Jason Kidd and Nobody". Said no one deserved it. As for his wildcard picks, he chose Brian Hill and Sam Mitchell. So the East bench if Charles had his way would only have 4 players and 2 extra coaches. I like your Joe Johnson pick, and I love Okafor, but I can't see him making it. Jermaine O'Neal will probably make it instead. I just hope Vinsanity doesn't. I still despise him for that tank job from a few years ago in Toronto.

Oh Okafor won't make it. But I'd love him to.

As for Camby making it, I don't see it happening. Since some of these PF's can also be slotted at C, they'll add another forward, since that is the deepest position... At least that's what I'm anticipating.

With Yao out, put Dirk at C, and put in Nash. They'll score a buck fitty for sure.

Shaq? Are you kiddding me? Garnett a starter? Dirk and Nash not starters? That's ridiclious.

I like the list but Deron Williams has played at a high level but most likely won't make it this year.
