I like the Idea of signing Stincomb from the Saints then trading Foster. Then go after defensive lineman like Grant,Smith or Holliday. Maybe sign Chis Kelsay from Buffalo .Bucannon also might be a cheap free agent to replace DW.

The guys I think the Broncos have the most realistic shot at getting that would help the team from that list would be:
12 Daniel Graham TE 6-3 257 7.6 Unrestricted New England (would be an upgrade over Alexander and the team could still use two TE sets with Scheffler)
13 Patrick Kerney DE 6-5 273 8.4 Unrestricted Atlanta (if healthy, plus Broncos just hired his position coach from Atlanta)
19 Damon Huard QB 6-3 218 4.9 Unrestricted Kansas City(might look to start someplace, but a good option)
20 Jamal Lewis RB 5-11 245 7.5 Unrestricted Baltimore(Shanahan tried one before)
27 Ian Scott DT 6-3 302 7.3 Unrestricted Chicago (underrated player)
54 Justin Griffith RB 5-11 232 6.8 Unrestricted Atlanta( I've always liked this guy)
74 Peter Sirmon LB 6-2 237 6.9 Unrestricted Tennessee (could start at SLB and move Williams back to WLB or at least, quality backup)
90 Donnie Spragan LB 6-3 242 6.7 Unrestricted Miami( might try to bring him back)
97 Rien Long DT 6-6 300 6.7 Unrestricted Tennessee(if healthy, is a good pass rusher from the DT spot)
There are others from the list I like, but I think only chance the Broncos have of getting them is convincing them to take less others can and will offer to sign with them.

Jarred Allen, Justin Smith, Charles Grant, Dwight Freeney, Patrick Kerney, Randy Starks....
Big names, i'm not sure how we'd get any of them though.
Personally, I think a D-line starts from the inside out. Randy Starks is wishful thinking, but a DT is critical. Obviously the loser we have paid to play DT right now aint gettin it done.

I'm pretty sure he was thinking about knowledge to be past to the Defense.
One solid FA and a good draft would be nice. I can't see Denver dropping the coin for a top FA D lineman.

19 Damon Huard QB 6-3 218 4.9 Unrestricted Kansas City

It would be nice to see these guys here, except with Freeney, i would like to get a someone a little bigger, that is the problem everyone has had with our line this year, no use bringing in another small DL.
Turner could be good, has power and explosive but does anyone know if he can carry the ball all season, by week 4 he will have had more carries than he had all last season.
And as for the QB's, it would be nice to land either, but i thinik those 2 might get looks as possible starters after the seasons they put up.
Justin Smith is still the best of the bunch. Do you want a guy like Freeney who is now picking his spots to play hard during the year?
Smith is consistent and he can give you between 8-14 sacks and a lot of tackles. He had 50 solos from the DE spots and he is usually getting between 45-50 every season... has never been hurt. You just know what you are going to get with that guy which is a high motor effort and solid performances. He can be an every down starter.
I love Michael Turner but we won't give up our 1st rounder to a division rival for him. We can sit and wait a year on him and SD won't be able to keep him. Patience in this situation will pay off. I do like him a lot though.
Ryan Long is an underated DT with pass rushing ability but he missed all of last season. I like his potential but he has to be signed to an incentive laden deal.
Charles Grant has great upside. Tough to say which way he will go though. He coudl get better. It is a little bit more risky than Smith though.
I love Daniel Graham, he is one of my favorite targets coming out. I think he is a definite upgrade over Alexander.
I also like Gurode coming out of CU as well. I think he can help us in the run game.

I really think Warren is getting a bad rap because he played hurt this year. I know a toe doesn't seem like much, but at the size these guys are, and the fact that leverage plays such an important part of their job, a hurt toe can linger and really effect a guys play. I would like to see a quality player next to Warren on the inside however, rather than Myers who can eat up blockers but do little else.
I also think Jamal Lewis is a very strong possiblity. I don't like it, but we went after him last year, and it seems Shanny is interested in a big back fo next year.

These are the same guys that had Denver taking Ken-Yon Rambo in the 1st for most of the offseason in '01, only to have Ken-Yon drop to #229 and go to Oakland in the 7th round.
I beat Rambo in the 300 IM hurdles in the state championships back in '95. I took fourth in the face, but my times would have won a number of states in the nation. California is the toughest track state. I must have been in the top 20 in the nation that year.

Broncos may suprise people this year and sign some big names. I know, I know cap space blah blah blah. With bonuses almost anything can be done. I like Leonard Davis from Arizona. How much does he have left? I think we need to just get bigger upfront on the oline and he would do that. I know Lepsis been playing left but this guy is huge and dominating at times.

The only two players I hope denver pulls from that list are Cory Redding and Justin Smith. Maybe Denver should go after Derrick Dockery( 6-6 345) if they want more beef on the line, he can at least move his feet.
Players that Denver needs to stay away from are Davis (leaning on people isn't block), Kerney (already have Lang and Elvis) and Jamal Lewis.

I believe the Redskins absolutely must resign Derrick Dockery.
The so-called "True Redskins" on the roster all want him back next year, especially left tackle Chris Samuels. They're going to really alienate their core guys if they let Dockery get away without making a very serious effort to retain him.
This team has pissed away so much money on free agent contracts that they had better do everything possible to take care of this guy. If they don't, we can expect a high fourth rounder from them in 2008.

I wouldn't mind the Broncos getting Leonard Little, if the price is right... he may still have some gas left in the tank, just make sure he's got a taxi cab close by at all times.

No. Dude should be in jail and not drawing an NFL paycheck. Don't care how good he can be on the field, I hope someone like that is never on this team.

What if he begs for your forgiveness, will you let him be a Bronco then?
As long as Little is a team guy, and a good locker room presence, I could give a rats azz about his past. Fact is, he's not in jail, obviously a judge in a courtroom thinks that he can still be a productive citizen. He's had his days in court, and he's still playing. That's really all that matters.

Ray also had his day in court, it didn't go well for him, hence the jail time. Little, on the other had, had his day in court and guess what, he's still playing...

Yeah, imagine that.
Imagine if it was you who killed that woman. You would still be waiting for parole.

He KILLED someone then not a year later got another DUI. Any regular Joe would be in jail for the first DUI that ended in someones death.
I can handle flavor clowns and to some degree thugs but this guy is scum.

Better yet Tombstone, imagine the woman he killed was your Mom. Maybe your sister. Or perhaps your daughter. But hey, as long as he could still play I'm sure she'd be smiling down on you from heaven.

There was no evidence to convict since the police video of the DUI stop got tossed. That's the only reason why he's out on the street because any who saw it could clearly see that Little was driving drunk again, in violation of his parole. Good for you if all that matters is that he's not in jail. He killed a women while driving drunk and got caught doing it again. The guy is a piece of **** and should not be associated with this franchise, or this league.

The first two have been pursued by the Broncos in the past, and the third is wishful thinking.
I agree that we'll probably go after Graham/Lewis.
But what makes you think Charles Grant is wishful thinking? He's a left end who's a solid two way player against the run and rushing the QB. Right now our LDE is Kenard Lang who gives too much ground against the run and Engelberger who never gets to the QB apart from misdirection plays.
Either him or Cory Redding. Patrick Kerney maybe but he's getting up there in age and I think he's already said he wants to come back to Atlanta.
I will be sitting by my phone this off season waiting for the call. I think I have atleast 2 or 3 plays left in me at LB or safety.
No Rae Carruth huh? I guess I should keep my hope down on getting Fred Lane :(

I haven't really turned my attention to the offseason...we have plenty of people that might do as well or better than many GM's but it won't make a lick of difference...I doubt Shanny and Sundquist scour our draft threads altho it's possible they take a glance, I doubt it.
I must be getting old because it seems like yesterday Steinbach and others were even drafted. Unless Leonard Davis is washed up he interests me...

Ian is untradeable....he got an 8 million bonus and is only 2 years into his 5 year contract, we can't have the remaining 5 million hit the cap this year without ****ing up whatever plans we had in FA.
Great job Mike and Ted!

Ian wasn't the problem. This is just a continuance of SoCals obsession with DJ Williams.

I'd like to see an "Ike Hilliard/Terrel Buckley" type patchwork corner to give some veteran depth... exspecilly with the loss of dwill.
I think Samuel will probably fetch too much. Buchanan?
