What's Thomson referring to?

Just another spoiled jerk talking **** walking out the door. John Thomson has had one decent season in an otherwise very disappointing career. He hated playing in New York and he obviously trying to blame anyone he can for his poor performance there. Lo Duca isn't a Gold Glove candidate, but he's not exactly Cliff Johnson back there, either.
He took some shots at Cliff Floyd, too.
“And then with Vernon Wells in center field, I'm not really concerned about the outfield with him out there…Just watching the Mets' outfield, if Cliff Floyd is still there it's not a real good fit for him out there. He can hit the ball, but as far as defense, he's a little shaky.”

It makes me want to break something every time I think that the Rockies refused to part with Thomson and Jamey Wright in a deal that would have landed them Pedro Martinez from Montreal.

Yeah that's what I figured. I mean Zaun's been a decent catcher, but he platooned last year. Plus Pedro and Glavin pitched to Lo Duca. Pedro is hardly a shriking violent in confrontations (-: It looked more to me that the mets have some young arms. Plus Lo Duca's gotta be a defensive upgrade from Piazza.

Thomson and the Blue Jays don't play the NL East this season so this chicken**** knew he could run his mouth and avoid a fastball to the dome.
