NFL PLAYERS ASSOCIATION CREATES TRUST FOR
DENVER BRONCOS DARRENT WILLIAMS
WASHINGTON, DC – In the wake of the sudden and tragic death of Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams, Gene Upshaw, Executive Director of the NFLPA, announced the creation of the “Darrent Williams Trust Fund.” The trust will help pay for the education expenses for his surviving children, Darius Dijion Leonard-Williams and Jaelyn Chinesia Leonard-Williams.
Players and fans alike have expressed deep compassion and concern for the family of Darrent Williams and want to know what assistance they can provide. During the 2007 NFL season, the Players Association will solicit support from players for contributions to the trust. The NFLPA will make a donation, as well
