TJ! What the hell is going on! :gripe:


Apparently, during my vacation out into the Mt. Adams Wilderness, the board ate our fantasy thread.

So first things first. We were missing a 12th person. The roster spot is open to whoever speaks up and is willing to pay the $10 fee (for the ESPN software). First come first serve.

Second order of business... Mock is going on the Injured Reserve list, and his season is done before it started. Sorry to hear about the situation, Mock. Get your stuff worked out and we'll see you next season.

We have a second roster spot open, and once again, it's first come first serve.

Next, if you have not yet logged into the ESPN engine, please do so soon. At the time of this writing, there are three players that still haven't done so.

OK, Beerman and Suto... Both of you need to send the entry fee... So go to the Front Page (http://www.orangemane.com/BB/index.php?s=) of the Orange Mane and at the bottom, you'll see a button that says "donate." Click on that and get me your money through PayPal. Once you do that, I'll have the invitation sent to your email address...

I have a question on the draft, TJ. Is the order the same all the way through or are they switching each round (#1 would then pick #24 and #25)?

It shows that you've signed in just fine. Just log into your account, and try to pre-rank your players...

As is standard in fantasy football, the order flip-flops each round.

You can pre-rank, but being there live is preferred... The spot ia yours if you want it... :)

Tried that TJ, but it won't let me. It comes up with an error message and says that I am not a team owner. Is anybody else having this problem?

This is the message that it keeps giving me... I've tried to post a message even and it gives me this message. WTF??? What name do you have me registered as... I can see the name Broncoman13's Bendovers but I can't even access that!

Got it figured out. Evidently I have two user names at ESPN and they are both exactly the same with one small addition. One has a _ in it!!! What crap!!! But I'm in and able to post messages.

hmmmm....

I just resent the invitation. The only thing I can do is send an invitation to you. I check a box, and click submit. The system then does its thing. I'm sending it to your csufresno email address. From there, theoretically, you should be able to take the ball and run. Some people missed the invitation, because they thought it was spam. Check your inbox carefully, because the invitation was sent.

You can change your name to whatever you want it to be once you log in, though it would be a preference if everybody would use their user names in the field "Team Location" to make it easy for people to tell who they are up against.

A REQUEST FOR LEAGUE CHANGES:

A TD should be worth a TD.

If you change Passing TD's to be the same as rushing TD's you open up the playing field a little bit. It adds a value to players who are marginal and eliminates people from hoarding RB's as a plan of attack.

A defense is a wonderful thing. Why should a defensive TD be only 4 points?

I would vote to reduce waiver timeline to zero. I am not scared of live ammo.

Hmmm... I used the default setting, and can't figure out why they would only make a passing TD worth 4 points...

I do understand the defensive scoring, because the interception or fumble recovery is worth 2 points...

I think the trading deadline should be moved. Week 13 is just too late. Something along the lines of week 9 would be better. It just sets up the scenario for some "weird" trading, if you know what I mean.

I also think that special team scores should remain tied in with the team D. A lot of kick returners aren't regular starters, let alone offensive players, so all of those returns on kicks will go unrewarded.

Agreed. If somebody wants to get greedy with special teamers they'll do great and dive bomb depending on a hunch pick.

I do think that leaving the trading deadline to week 13 is fine. Taco can lock down the board if he wants. Additionally the flame war that would ensue from anyone doing that would be so fierce I doubt it's needed. The league is all familiars so it should be pretty easy to check.

All the injuries out there? I would rather have the slack available.

I'm not seeing any options to mess with special teams right now...

I think it would be an option to select under offensive players. If you are adding this I would not like receptions added but yards. This adds value to kick return guys and acts as a wild card of sorts. It should be under kick returns or punt returns.

If it's not offered then no worries but in other leagues under settings it allows you to add or delete features.

Hmm...still have to disagree. Why should a team that is 4-8 going into week 13 be allowed to trade? Say Philly is 4-8 ( ;D ) and I'm 11-1, why should I be able to trade with Philly, since he really has no incentive to trade, other than to help me out. It's not like that 4-8 team is making a move to help himself for the playoff chase. That's my whole point. At least with an earlier deadline, most, if not all, the teams are still alive. Come week 13, the haves will be trading with the have nots, and that wouldn't be right

It's not about being scared. It's exactley what Cup explained. I've run a FF league for 12 years now, and have been playing FF for 14 years, and I've seen it happen just like Cup described.

Oh, sorry Winston... At least in the beginning, I want our usernames to be the first one noticable, so that people know who they are facing... It makes it easier on me, because I don't get a bunch of emails from people asking me to figure out who "The Red hot Bike Riders" are, and whatnot...
