I had a really weird dream the other night. About a week ago I think. I don't know where it came from, but here goes:
The scene was at what appeared to be a major bowl game, because the halftime crew was not in their normal set, but on the field at the game. It could have been an NFL game, who knows. But the point is, they were outside. Well the really odd thing was, Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld) was one of the guys there on the crew, like a guest commentator or something. He was in a suit like the rest, with a bright orange tie. I don't remember him specifically saying anything, but I remembered him agreeing with something somebody else said, and then smiling before they went to commercial. And then I woke up.
And no, he wasn't getting into a fight with any black guys.
Real weird dream. I don't even watch Seinfeld that much.

Sounds like my dream when the Broncos had a defensive front 4 who were constantly in a QB's face, wreaking havok in the backfield.

Meck and I were talking about dreams just the other day, oddly enough.
First, the mind never rests unless your put under or in a coma. Dreams can be classified into two very distinct groups. Garden variety amusement or that occasional VIVID dream or nightmare.
VIVID dreams in my experience seem to have brilliant color and often involve lost loved ones, at least for me. For years after my father passed on I would have vivid dreams and wake up fully aware he was downstairs having coffee only to come to my senses. I don't know if I was being visited or just going thru grieving. Eventually these dreams became less and less common. Oddly, I had another just recently after a long time. Might of had something related to the death of DWill.
I guess people that have been severely traumatized can have nightmares every or almost every night. How awful.
I believe that as a general rule, our minds just are amusing themselves...sexual dreams seem to be alot less dominant now that I'm 47. I don't think this stupid BP medicine does much good for the ole libido either. Beats having a stroke I guess. sigh. I need to call Bob and only wish I had to call my doctor after 4 hours of hammer. TMI probably.
Enough of feeling sorry for myself.
Vivid dreams are just so very different than the simple amusements...for me, they are not sexual in nature, ever...it's also odd how you remember them in detail.
Another funny thing about dreams is I can tell when Beezer is dreaming...he has this Cheshire Cat grin and is twitching like crazy. Of course, I don't know if he's really dreaming, he might just need a new flea collar! I still can't do much but communicate in basic terms and body language, but it sure looked like dreaming to me.
I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy and prosperous new year.
I had the strangest dream the other night after watching Sin City.....
It had to do with Jessica Alba, myself, a large water bed and a billy goat.... Go figure? :)

I had a very vivid dream a couple of nights ago . . .
Dreamt myself a friend, and two girls I didn't know were mounting a heroic climbing expidition through the world's largest glacier but in "reality" (chuckle) it turned out we were mounting some sort of assault on heaven which was atop the glacier.
Suffice to say, after numerous hardships through the elements and at great mortal danger we managed to conquer the glacier to find heaven before us. Heaven consisted of an old, short washroom attendent in uniform handing out pearls of wisdom while we used his immaculately clean toilet facilities.
But the strangest thing about it was that all of our senses were "uncalibrated" in heaven. Such as oranges seemed to smell like lemons, brown really appeared purple, etc.

Hahah, no prob! Maybe Kramer's tie was orange for Boise State? Who knows!
But I've moved on from having sports dreams apparently, and am now having just halftime show dreams.
Soon I'll be dreaming of really hilarious beer commercials for the SuperBowl.

Sunday night I had one that definatly got my attention and made me think on it a bit. Cant remember most of the entire dream just the end but the reaper was coming after me, He kinda looked like the headless horseman but had a hood on with a pretty scary sycle. He started chanting "you are coming soon" that was when I awoke and still think about that dream. Still disturbs me.

last nite I had a dream of several white tornadoes comng down and my family and friends were walking along a road and then took shelter under an I-55 overpass outside of town. Me and someone else were under one side and the tornadoe ripped apart the other side and several cars came crashing down. We were dodging wreckage left and right. Then I woke up.

I don't remember very many dreams - but the ones i do are normal, with many odd subtle complexities.

Hopefully it's just a stupid dream. We don't need to lose anymore OManers.

Dreams, yeah...I have LOTS of those. I remember almost all of them. Sometimes they are very good, sometimes I freak myself out. Sometimes wake up terrified. Just hate those!
But, last night, I had one of the wierdest ones. I dreamt I was running a marathon in England with my friend. And, whoever planned this marathon, did a lousy job of mapping the course. We had no clue where we were going. Typically when you run a race, there are volunteers along the way to provide energy bars, water and direction. Well, the volunteers had no clue of the course and the one's providing water and energy bars were a lot of my friends from the past whom I haven't seen or heard from in a looooooong time! Somewhere along the line I fell into a lake, or river, or something. I was trying to get out and I couldn't. It was wierd. Anyway, then my alarm went off! Hate when my alarm interrupts my dream. Then I don't know how it will end!

That's right. The prevailing mainstream psycho-neurological explanation for dreams is "random synapse discharge." Patterns or explanations for the content thereof have never been shown, despite every effort to do so.

Usually when I wake up from a nightmare - I find I have to pee.
I think it is a way for the subconscious mind to wake you up.
