Anyone out there watch the series on HBO called the wire. It's about a corrupt police department and drug dealers in Baltimore really good show. I just picked it up in the fifth season and I am hooked I am now ordering the first three seasons to try and catch up. If you have not seen this then get on it.

I think its HBO's best show, even if its their least promoted. You can really tell the creators had a master plan and they've stuck to it. There are never any throwaway episodes. Everything means something. Its really amazing to see these intricate storylines come together, and unlike The Sopranos, the don't just abandon plot threads at the end of the season.

It's OK, I prefer The Shield though.

I just picked up the Shield and I´m only thru the early parts of season 2, but Vic Mackey is great and only 2nd to Jack Bauer.
