KANSAS CITY, Mo -- The Kansas City Chiefs will forfeit Saturday's playoff game to the Indianapolis Colts. Team officials were unavailable for comment Monday but it is believed that since the Chiefs have already won their Super Bowl there is no reason to play any additional games.

The Chiefs (9-7) were the most improbable entry -- the sixth and last seed in the AFC.

They entered the weekend needing a number of scenarios to break for them. They beat Jacksonville 35-30, then qualified because Tennessee and Cincinnati lost early games and Denver, which had only to win to get in, was beaten 26-23 in overtime by San Francisco.
