I have yet to see any fan base as die hard as we are. What is the reason for that? I live in kansas, and bronco fans here let people know by covering their houses, cars, animals, clothing in blue and orange. We had 4 buisness down here quit advertising at the radio station due to the morning crew bashing the team. I grew up in southeast colorado, and the Broncos were the only break from a horrible economy and work, combines would shut down on sundays for the game. When elway came it seem to be a break from reality. Does anyone have any idea why we love our team so much more than others?
I would like to here why everyone loves this team.

Well as far as the reason for the passion, it probably changes from generation to generation. For me i think it comes from my competitveness in sports, im passionate about all the teams i root for especially towards the broncos and red sox.
Even when i play a pick up game of tackle football i want to win like its a state championship game so i think thats why im so passionate about the teams i root for.

I wear my orange and blue PROUDLY, despite the close proximity to Redcoat land. Believe it or not, there ARE plenty of Broncos fans living here an hour away from Kansas City. When the Chiefs aren't playing during the time the Broncos play, my local sports bar turns into a Broncos bar. It's a beautiful sight to see. I've even seen more and more Broncos merchandise around here in recent years as businesses realize the fanbase is healthy here...

Remember when your stadium was half empty when it got a little damp?
Heck, the upper deck had tons of empty seats last week and your season was on the line. Yeah, total die hards.

Hokies are very passionate...and I'm both a Hokie and a Bronco Fan. Not to be confused with a Hokie Fan...I am a Hokie.

Tons? Hardly...there were 5000 no shows in a blizzard on christmas. Truth is some might not have been able to get there

Hey boob, remember when your fans voted down a new stadium? Dont confuse great die hard fans with idiots that dont realize they have never won the trophy and never will.
I think Success has alot to do with it. That's why Cowboy's and Yankee fans are littered everywhere you look. Everybody likes a winner.
The fact that Denver has been to 5 Superbowls in the last 20 years or so (yes, that's 5 times more then the Chiefs) and making the playoffs often, they win alot and that draws people.
I will say this though, everywhere I have ever been, either people have loved Denver or hated them with extreme passion. Not alot of fence walkers when it comes to the Broncos.
No lie - about 12 years ago I was in Michigan playing some whoop tournaments (gusmacker I think the name was) and I had on this ragged ass old Elway T-shirt. Some player from another team walked up to me and offered me $50 for the shirt right there on the spot. Don't know if was rare or something. It was a cartoon figure of Elway with a little body and super large head. Of course I said NO WAY. That was funny.

Remember when your television and radio stations had to buy up thousands of extra seats so that they could avoid a blackout and honor their advertising contracts? That has never happened in Denver.

That's a bunch of crap. I've watched that game like ten times and you're lying.

I'd say there are plenty of organizations that have passionate fans. Probably the most die hard fans I ever met were New Orleans Saints fans a few years ago. I have never seen more passionate "real" fans in the stands. Back then there was no such thing as a Bandwagon Saints fan. I'm sure there are plenty now. This was long before any Reggie Bush/Brees/Katrina etc. I talked to old guys who stuck with that team during their darkest times. Unlike alot of franchises we've had alot of success which has helped to "spoil" some fans IMO.
If the Broncos went 4-12, 6-10 etc for a few years I think alot of Broncos fans would be shaken out. It wouldn't be any loss though as it would be the group that joined up after Elway went back to back anyway.
I will say this for the Omaners I've met. You all definetly bring passion to the game!^5
As far as Boob goes KC fans didn't start showing up to their stadium until the 90's. That is a fact. They don't even come close to Broncos fans.

Boob, 2 things
1.) You are a hickey on the butt wrinkle of humanity
2.) The best part of you ran down your mothers leg when you were born!
Do not involve yourself in threads of Bronco Pride, You are not good enough to talk of such godly things.

Yeah, we certainly don't have a monopoly on supporting our team. Steelers, Packers, Bears, Browns, Eagles - there are a lot of teams that have fan bases that other teams would dream to have. We are one of those teams, but we aren't alone.

I live in the heart of Stiller country, and the difference between their fans and ours, is that they're complete jackasses. I have yet to meet a reasonable Stiller fan.

I gained a lot of respect for Steelers fans when I met a bunch of them at the AFC Championship game last year. They were proud and loud but at the same time, they showed respect. There wasn't a bunch of junk talk going out of the stadium. There was a lot of hand shaking and back patting.

A small percentage of ticket holders didn't manage to get to the game on Christmas Eve during a blizzard, when everyone's travel arrangements were in chaos. Most couldn't get a flight in or out until Christmas Eve, and driving into Denver was not an option for many. So some had to miss the game.
Compare that with SD, Oak and KC who's local TV stations have to buy up unsold tickets to avoid blackouts.
I guess Santa didn't bring you a personality or a life for Xmas.
So here you are, clutching your new Barbie and making an ass of yourself as usual. Take a bow. :curtsey:

Any team's fanbase has a mix of good diehard fans and total jackasses... and when they've enjoyed recent success, you can usually add in a percentage of bandwagoners as well. But the vast majority of the Steelers fans I've met are just solid, passionate football fans.

I don't know about the most, but we have a lot.
It's always easy to have passion for a successful team...Few teams have had as much as us over the past 2 decades.

Do you remember last year your team talking about putting a roof on top of that peace of crap? How about all those years you guys never sold out? It was Christmas Eve, just got over a blizzard, snow coming down hard, no parking for cars and you want people to chance their lives to get to the game. How about family coming in and not enough tixs to go around. Boob, start your exile now for the better of the board you moooooron. BTW: How many of those in the upper deck went down for cover while watching the game?

Bobo's entire earthly mission in life is to irritate others.
Word has it that when his stint as a research monkey is up, he will assume his new life as a DMV clerk.

Hmm I heard he got fired at Krispy Kreme for stealing inventory but he now has a job with the local pooper scooper company. Picking up dog **** sounds like something right up bobs alley.
