Getting something for Christmas? You guys are lucky, I've become the giver. Seems like my receiving days are over. Well, I know my mother hooked me up with something. She always comes through.

I got my son NBA 07, a James Bond game, and a couple of other things. I called around to other family members and told them what he likes, so he'll be hooked up. I got on 8 month old niece a shirt that says "My Daddy is a Geek".

Yeah, I picked it up about a month ago. I swear, I almost balled like a baby watching the section on superbowl XXXII.

I was a little surprised by their choice of Players to profile. I mean, Johns Elway and Mike Shanahan are no-brainers. But I was scratching my head a little over the inclusions of Johns Lynch and Jake Plummer, especially as their segments spend a lot of time focusing on their careers outside of Denver. I would have gone with Steve Atwater, Tom Jackson, Jason Elam or Shannon Sharpe. But, I guess you have to use what is available and I don't think the NFL ever did an "In Their Own Words" segment on any of those guys. Plus, there was scant information on Bowlen. I mean, come on. This is the guy who took the team and made it one of the most widely practiced religions in the state of Colorado. You think that the DVD's could give us a little more insight into him. But, overall, good stuff and a must have for Broncos fan. Its just not the all inclusive anthology that I'm hoping will one day be made.

Yea, I saw that and was gonna buy it untill I saw Lelie and someone else(I think it was Ron Dayne) as profiled players. They must have made that this past summer. I thought it was cheesy they made a calendar out of Players that don't either play for Denver or are now sitting the bench(But who knew Plummer was gonna suck this year) LOL

I got my gal a Champ Bailey Jersey.

I got a Broncos poker chip looking case (those silver cases) with the Bronco logo on the front but inside is a full set of Broncos Barbecue Grill tools (tongs, spatula, shish ke bob skewers, baster, fork) all with the Broncos logo on them. Very nice.

A Broncos santa hat, but different than the ones I saw people wearing at the game yesterday.

I gave more Bronco stuff than I got this year. I also gave my sister a Julius Peppers jersey.

My gifts included a Jay Cutler plaque, a Bronco neck pillow, some Bronco shirts and a Bronco wallet.

Ever give out gifts to people you work with when they're not necessarily expecting to receive anything from you?

If you give them their stuff by Wednesday, you generally wind up with some retaliatory gifts by Friday.

HAHAHA! I had to do that with a co-worker of mine. She came over with a plate (a nice plate at that) of cookies, chocolate covered pretzels, other assorted goodies and a card wishing me a happy holidays. I was like WTF? This is out of the blue. So about an hour later I cut her a check for 20 bucks and said, "I didn't know what to get you, so I thought cash would be the next best thing." hahahaha She got me!

But the most special thing was from my 8 year old granddaughter. She got a build a bear machine and made me an orange teddy bear whose papers state his name is John Elway. She said she made a wish over him when she finished it that the Broncos would win the SB and then she kissed it to seal the wish. What a sweetheart!

nfl.com muffed my fiances order and had it delivered to her work instead of home, so I didn't get my schwag 'til last night. She took good care of me with a long sleeved white t-shirt, a sideline players storm flex cap, and the 2006 midweight storm jacket. I got my soon to be step daughter a replica Bailey team colors jersey. If she doesn't tear that one up I'm gonna do a Champ authentic alternate jersey for her birthday.
