I found myself thinking about this today.

Christmas only happens once a year, but this weekend we get to see Jay's first playoff type game. Huge game that is needed for the playoffs or Christmas?

Christmas.

It's my baby girl's first. Nothing could top that.

Not to mention spending time with my wife, son and family. I'm also busting at the seams to give my wife and kids their presents.

But, the game is a close second this weekend. We're out of town so we'll be looking for a sports bar to watch the game.

Yep. They like to come to my house once in a while. I'm not sure what they want though. One time I gave them a cup of sugar.

Christmas is just a day to remind you of Christ's birth. No one knows what day Jesus was realy born this is just a day that was picked out.

Popps I can see that, Ryan is going into his first Christmas and the morning will be special but come 3 o'clock central time Christmas is over and game time has come.

You know it's funny, usually I can't wait for Christmas. But this December has been so busy (and will continue to be busy through New Year's) that it's been kind of an afterthought for me.

2nd weekend, my girl visited me from Denver. And yes it was a girl, despite what my sig says.

3rd weekend I went out to Arizona to see the game.

Next weekend I'll be in Denver for New Year's with the girl, as well as going to the Nuggets/Mavs game.

Mix in excitement about Cutler's development, following the Iverson trade rumors and the subsequent trade to the Nuggets, plus the fact that the Broncos could all but seal a playoff spot this weekend, I'd say Christmas has been pushed way back on the priority list this year.

Edit: Plus the fact that I finished my shopping like, 2 weeks ago and have been able to just relax lately, makes for a much lower-key Christmas.

About equal.

I've been thinking a lot more about the game though. And as I'm having family trouble, Christmas won't be what I hoped. So... maybe I'm more excited about the game.

Maybe some of you guys and gals dont get to see some of the great things done in the name of grace and giving during Christmas, but I guarantee you that what man is inspired to do during Christmas is the apex of everything else he does during the year.

I have seen some of the hardest kids in America smile with an innocent joy that they can rarely express because of what total strangers have done for them this season. It is something that they will remember for the rest of their lives.

A Broncos game is great, but it isnt Christmas.

The Kid is from Santa Claus, Indiana. He's going to own Christmas the same way he'll own Denver.

If you have rug rats running around then fine...let us heathens be. It's a stupid question since the game is on Sunday and Christmas is on Monday.

We were allowed to open presents at home on the eve, but the game will be over. I went Granny stalking on Christmas for loot.

Being a Christian isn't a one day affair. I'm allready on thin ice with God for saying Jay is the Second Coming.

Unfortunately, Christmas seems less about Christ's birth than getting presents. Who needs that stress? BRING ON THE BRONCOS!!!!

Both! I love Christmas...It's my favorite Holiday...but since I was going to Diego...I had almost everything done by Dec. 1st....and since we don't have any snow it just doesn't feel like Christmas yet...so yeah, I'm probably more excited about the Broncos right now and the game is on Christmas Eve Day! Ha!

You know what...the game is Christmas Eve...Christmas day isn't until Monday...we don't have to make a choice...we just get an awesome weekend :~ohyah!: (Only one thing...ok...two things would make it better!) ;)

Christmas- Christ's birth without a question. For the people with other responses I lead you to this scripture.

Matthew 12:36 (Jesus speaking) I tell you that on the day of judjment people will have to account for every careless word they speak.

They're happening at the same time here (since my family celebrates Xmas on Xmas Eve night)....the family fest should commence about the time the game winds up...so I'm pretty pleased about having both one on top of the other.

xmas happens every yaer. this sunday is as described a MUST win for our broncos !
the question is, "what are you more excited about"
not which has greater social significance.
without question I am more excited about the broncos game!
and as some have stated, the best gift, this season would be a bronco victory this sunday !

Christmas is effort. Bronco games are pure pleasure...most of the time. I'm not getting much of anything for Christmas. I'm doing the buying now. Not really complaining, but it's nothing to get really excited about.

I don't know about "excited" but I can certainly tell you which one makes me more nervous.
