Anybody else catch the shot that Phil Simms(?) took at Jake with the mule reference?

Seemed a little classless to me. Basically indicated that Plummer could be "cleaned up to look OK but was never going to win the Kentucky Derby".

If anyone needs a 2x4 across the head like a mule to get his attention it's his own kid.

I think Phil is secretly a Bronco homer.

It wasn't any worse than what people were saying about Jake on this board.

How about after half, when asked "...so how about Cutler's performance in the first half, Phil?"

He was (roughly) 13 of 17, 160 yards and a TD

He responds "...he did ah,err, OKAY ..."

Damn, what would a GOOD or GREAT half of stats look like for a rookie's third game.

He's always said really nice things about our team and knows the game very well.

He was really high on Cutler coming out of the draft so I think that we drafted him and he liked us before has sent him over the edge.

In the San Diego game you could tell that he saw the greatness but was restraining himself. During the Cardinals game he was literally gushing over Cutler. At one point in the first Quarter, when cutler runs for eight yards, he loses his composure and grunts.

Dude, he was joking. Right after that they both started laughing because he was playing so well it was disgusting.

I thought it was very funny when he said well he did okay. I was rolling and the wife didnt catch it and I realy couldnt explain it well. Everyone could tell that he was blowing Simm's socks off. I bet he tries to adopt Cutler so he can have a son that is going to be a great pro.

wow, you actually didn't catch the sarcasm in his voice or the expression on his face? or the laughing afterwards? or the fact that they said 1st half success is pointless without second half success?

That was reference to Sharpe and Boller, who was the QB for Baltimore game after McNair got hurt. It came right after that highlight
