View Full Version : Larry Johnson not happy with Chiefs attitude toward losing

Grabbed this from my Fantasy Football site. Seems LJ isnt so hunky dory with the lax attitude of the Chiefs when it comes to losing.
Adam Teicher, of the Kansas City Star, reports Kansas City Chiefs RB Larry Johnson called out the Chiefs after the team's Week 15 loss. "We need to sit down and change something. This is getting ridiculous. Everybody is saying, `Oh, it's fine, it's OK.' I don't know who in their mind thinks this is OK. This is nothing that's OK. We need to change a lot of it. We need to sit down and change a lot. I'm getting tired of hearing that `We'll get `em next week' speech. We need to really start sitting down and knowing what we need to do to put points on the board and what we need to do to do win games," Johnson said. He said opposing defenses have made adjustments to what the Chiefs do and the team has not responded. "They need to fix it. I'm getting tired of this. It's tough running against a brick wall until you break it open, you know? You see other teams do different things; you see different teams react differently. Like I said, you don't have to bang your head against a brick wall hard enough to crack a hole in it. There are other ways of doing different things." Head coach Herman Edwards said the team's offensive failings have not been because they are too predictable. Edwards feels the team is unable to in an offensive rhythm.

Well, there is too many white guys that just dont understand how LJ feels. White guys have no idea how it feels to be a black guy and lose. Thank God Herm Edwards can help him relate many more times next year and beyond if Herm sticks around.

What a stupid hypocrite.
Here's the guy tuning out Dick Vermiel because he wasn't a black coach who had been through all the hardships that a guy like Larry Johnson has had to go through. Now he's talking about other player's attitudes?
Why does anyone in that locker room need to listen to a word that moron says?

See TJ the problem is there is no night life in KC. IF LJ was able to get his groove on, he would be a happy camper.

Hard to disagree with anything he said. LJ just wants to win.

I can't even post what I'm thinking.
I'll say this...he's a malcontent...Did he think Herm Edwards was an offensive genius? The Chefs make one coaching blunder after another.

We don't need a genius. We need someone who knows what the hell he's doing. Solari obviously isn't that guy. I guess I should hope he's replaced next year but I don't see it happening.

Yeah BoBo...it's real smart to call out your coach after your owner dies and you pull the race card then can't grasp his poor offense.
Does Diaper Boy want another coach this time? He just want's to win? Like the other thousand players in the NFL? They don't? Idiot.
L.J. is the only player that has a drive to win in the NFL. Bobo is amazing.

LJ needs to take Solari to a krunk club with metal detectors that don't work and some hoes and malt liqour and hennessey/coke and gang bangers and hang with the bootlips. Then he'll figure it out. Outlaw gangsta "O" ain't playin with a lilly white boy like Trenty Green rollin da bones baby.

How do you screw it up, if you're KC? If LJ was on this team, i don't really know how we'd lose more than 2 or 3 games a year.
Well, i guess if LJ just isn't happy in KC, we could trade tickets to the AFC Championship game next year in Denver for him.

I admire players like DW and LJ. They're willing to pull double duty as coaches and personnel men without any bump in salary (presumably).

LJ probably just needs a black OC. I know Maurice Carthon is back on the market.

He probably will when his contract is up. He sure doesn't seem happy in Chiefsland.

For being a players coach, Herm sure has a a couple big names planning their departure from the team already. Gonzo has already stated that he is not happy and his contract expires this year. Now we have LJ griping about the atmosphere in the locker room after griping about the city last year.
I love it.

Herm says that isn't the problem. Are you saying that your lord and savior Herm Average is lying or doesn't know what he is talking about?

Gonna get worse for the squaws before it gets better. BTW, how does it feel to give up a draft choice for a coach who can't get the squaws in the playoffs and his former team that has much less talent, has a legit chance to get in.
36 years and counting. Anyone have an over/under number?

Brilliant move wasn't it? Not to mention a draft pick for a coach that was likely to get fired. Nothing but smart management over at 1 Arrowhead Drive.

The Chiefs front office has been made aware of Larry's comments and are having a closed door meeting to discuss possible solutions...

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way.
Does LJ have some race issues? It would appear so.
Do some of the members who have posted in this thread have some race issues? Hell yeah! I'm not saying that any of you are racist, and I'm pretty sure that you guys aren't, but damn.

They have to let out some of that built up anger somehow. Its no longer kosher in the real world, so they have to find other ways to vent. I'll tell you one thing, it doesn't take much to get them started though.
