1) Win and get in the playoff's. Maybe be on and done.

2) Lose the next 2 and maybe get a top 15 pick.

I'm leaning more towards win and in. Just becuase I love to watch the Broncos play.

But I still want a top rated DE.................

I'll take in any day. I would rather watch them than not. Plus, there is a nice bonus if they are in and KC is out :~ohyah!: ;)

Make the playoffs. Trades and whatever can be made, but getting to the playoffs is a reward for a very agonizing year.......

Heav, you are a well respected member here, so it pains me to say that this just may be the worst poll ever. ;D

Missing the playoffs won't improve the draft pick that much, so they might as well make it. And I didn't get all pumped up for the season for next year's draft. Win, do some damage, and you never know what may happen.

I see the rationale for losing.

But playoff experience could be great for Cutler. So let's get in. Plus anything can happen.

playoff experience for Cutler/Sheffler/Marshall would be HUGE for the future; more so than any future bust we might draft.

Great experience for Cutler and, if nothing else, builds up his moxy.

And, as others have said, you just never know what will happen...."any given Sunday."

Easy, win. With so many teams buched up and Denver's high SOS, they're not moving many spots anyway if they lose out.

Actually, if we had lost yesterday I would have wanted us to lose our last 2 and get a better draft pick. Now that we've won, I want us to win our last 2 and see if we can do something in the playoffs...

The other thing to consider is that we don't necessarily get a higher playoff spot than the teams that get in. The tie breakers are different for draft position -- I believe they include strength of schedule as a larger component than say conference record.

So what I am saying is that if we get in with tie breakers or lose out with tie breakers than our draft position would be unchanged. The only thing that can change that is if we win and move on, then we move back in the draft. If we win even one game in the playoffs with Cutler at the helm, then its worth it for sure.

I did. Whenever a poll sucks this bad, I always try to skew the numbers.

SOS is the first tiebreaker. Higher SOS=lower pick.

not that I think this team is good enough, but I want Cutler to see how much faster of a speed the playoffs are and the intensity, so next year..........BAM

This is a very easy question. This team needs to play better in DEC/JAN/FEB. It needs to start right now and the mentality of playing good football every game, no matter what, needs to replace the pragmatic dogma of fans here.

We're not the San Antonio Spurs or the Houston Rockets, teams that have tanked it to improve draft position.

You always play to win.

The best means to instill the hunger & determination to get back and succeed is to get in and feel the intensity...a sensation seemingly lost on the likes of franchises in Kansas City, Cleveland, Detroit & Arizona & other teams of that ilk where the sentiment seems to be to chide the lesser seeds for even trying.

What a great opportunity for Cutler to get the feel of the play-offs...and as everyone seems to be saying...who knows??

Winning the Super Bowl will have more of an effect on the Broncos playoff spot then just missing or making the playoffs. I can live with the 32 pick.

On a side note, I remember a young Cowboys team in the very early '90s getting into the playoffs and making a little bit of noise. Then they went on to winning 3 out of 4 Super Bowls, and was close to winning four in a row. So yeah, I'd say make the playoffs. I can't think of any way that it would be best if they didn't make the playoffs.

The playoff experience alone is worth more than a top 15 pick. Not to mention that the postive direction that winning out a regualr season brings.

I could never root for the Broncos to lose, I mean if you think that way why don't we just hope Shanny goes the route that SD did? Just totally stink for 10 years and stock pile enough high picks to have so many top talent players that you can't help but win.

Considering our best chance of making the playoffs is to win out that means we would be the #5 seed. Who wouldn't like our chances best in a road game at New England?

That's a dream set up if you are playing for a wild card IMO. And if we win, we'd most likely get San Diego. Sure they are a good team and a team that has beaten us twice, but they are not a team that I "fear". Going to Baltimore or Indy flat out scares me because of our respective pasts with those two teams. Playing in NE or in SD, eh, I'll take my chances.

This seems a little gratuitous. Sure AZ isn't a great team. But they are still an NFL team. He has shown improvement in each of his games and many analysts -- including Phil Simms -- say he actually played better than the stats showed against SD.

The talk was that Arizona had won 3 of 4 coming into this game and we had lost 4 in a row. The Scouts Inc morons even suggested that "Cutler hasn't seen a defense like Arizona's". (I thought that was crazy since he played SD the week before, but I guess that's why they don't employ me).

Bottom line is he is getting better every week. He is getting more players involved and this team is showing some signs of life.

Cutler had a decent first game outside of one horrible play. He was pretty good at times in his second game. And now he lights it up in his third game. Why shouldn't we be excited? Nobody is seriously saying that he's going to lead us to the Super Bowl. But he's giving us reasons to feel excited about the QB position for the first time in years.

Well, the big difference is that Cutler did well with almost NO running game in ARI. In fact, he established an offense that can move the ball, score points, and not punt until two minutes left in the fourth quarter without a running game. When the hell was Jake ever that efficient without a running game ???

The Media has always been entirely skeptical of DEN with Jake at the Helm. Remove the Head and replace with a talented Rookie with a cannon and Woila! Instant media retraction and renewed interest for something shiny and new.

Like some of you others that have already mentioned this, the playoff experience for Jay and the other rooks would be my decision....I understand this is a business and all, but I couldnt just go out and try to lose just to get a higher pick. That goes against everything Ive ever been taught, especially when you still have a chance to make things happen.
