Simple Question,

How much of a Homer are you? Do you smile when down by 10 and know your coming back or do you frown because we've played like crap for three quarters and most likely will continue to play like crap.

Down by 10 in 4th Q?

Easy win, we come back 9/10 times :)

Down 28-3 I kept telling the Chugger fans that we wouldnt go away quietly, and sure enough we almost came all the way back.

So HUGE HOMER id say. ;D

I'm a pretty big homer. I'll tell you this - in the Redskins Super Bowl, I was doing the math at halftime to try and figure out what it would take for them to get back into the game.

I don't in any way pretend to be objective when it comes to the Broncos.

I guess we all have a little bit of homer in us. But I'd like to think that I'm somewhat objective. If you can make a valid argument for a "homer" view point, then you aren't being a homer.

A good example of that is that I think TD is one of the greatest RBs ever (I'm not trying to highjack this thread and make it about TD, I'm just using him as my example, so lets not argue about TD here). Making that statement as a Bronco fan has homer written all over it. But I'd say that I make a great argument that my statement is true, so it's not a homer view point.

I'll call out any player, coach or owner if they are ***ing up.

I'm giving Cutler time to develop but am convinced he will be a fine if not great player.

I've said it many times...it's all meat, and I don't really have heros. That's for the men and women serving in the armed forces for pennies compared to what these spoiled athletes make. That's just me because I understand the transient nature of the game.

As far as coming back from 10 down, the Elway years you knew he would fight back, but the teams under Griese and Plummer didn't exibit that quality., Cutler is an unknown, but I like our chances once get gets his mojo on.

BTW: I'm watching some Division ii game and the anouncer said "I did not know that" (Johnny Carson) and "Oh My" (Enberg) in two sentences, but I don't think the other announcer caught the joke.

Me too. I picked the second one but I often wander into the first option.

When we were down in 4th Quarters:

When Elway was here my glass was half-full, When Griese & Plummer were here it was Half-empty, this year it was a Quarter-Empty.

Now that The ROOKIE GOD is starting my Cup runneth over. I hear George Harrison's "Here Comes the Sun" instead of Whitesnakes "Crying in the Rain" now in the 4th Q.

I love my Rookie God!

I try to be realistic. I'd say I'm 50% homer, 50% realistic. :P

I used to be much more of a homer until this decade. The 2001 season and the 2002 finish knocked me into a more sober expectation from my favorite team. I was really happy to win a playoff game last year and to make the playoffs 2003-present (hopefully this year too), and I don't really expect a Superbowl win ever year.

That "ring or nothing" is the mindset of a champion, but doesn't apply if you aren't on the team or organization. A fan can try and mostly succeed in being impartial, and in that case only enjoying the season if it ends with the Lombardi doesn't make sense.

However, I don't think it's being a homer to state that the Chiefs will not win in Denver for at least 10-15 more years. ;D

I get tired of hearing that baloney TC after TC after TC. It's like WWF smackdown year after year. Do it, or shut up about it.

I meant to post earlier but accidentally closed my browser and said hell with it.

Anyway, my answer was 2 but with a caveat.

It starts off at 1 every season. Epic undefeated SB winner homer proportions.

Each loss takes it down a step, with 4 game win streaks bumping it back up a level.

RIght now Im in the telluride mode. I predicted a win against Zona but deep down I dont think we will win another game this year.
