Sunday Ticket
No kidding... even if you can't / won't afford the greatest thing in TV... at least you can go to a local sports bar with it. It sucks that you have to pay even more for HD, but they have me addicted....

One thing I've noticed this year, which is a BIG change from last year: There are no blackouts on the HD superfan channels. I was one of the horribly unlucky individuals who lived right in the middle of Tulsa, yet could not pick up the off-air local HD broadcasts (even with an amplified roof-top antenna). So any locally broadcast game was blacked out on my $400 sunday ticket package. I wound up having to get HD cable just for the local channels... talk about a pain in the ass right there...
I moved to the suburb this year, and I can acuatlly see the broadcast towers now. Of course, I get the local off-air feed... but there are no blackouts on HD Superfan. Figures....

Are the HD channels you get through direct tv as clear as the local brodcast ones. I have a tv with a built in hd tuner and the local brodcast HD is unreal.

My DTV reciever integrates the off-air signals... they are all stunning. Cox Cable's HD sucked in comparison.

I've gotten every game except that stupid NFLN game. It's cool how many times Denver covers most of the country. I'm pretty happy with my cable/broadband. For some reason I get 3 CBS channels and usually get the Broncos, Chiefs and HornHeads. I grew up with one channel so I'm easy to please I guess. Have a couple flatscreens that put out a very nice picture but one day when the old Sony died, I just stood and stared at an HDTV, drooling. Got a real nice 27 flat screen for 199. Someday if they keep going down in price I likely will bump up.

There may not be a bar in Lindsborg that has Sunday Ticket, so I'm glad you get to see the game...

I couldn't live without Sunday Ticket. In fact, I'll go as far as to say this: There are a lot of you on here I'd sell into the illicit Thai sex trade if it was the only way I could keep Sunday Ticket.

This year Sunday Ticket hasnt been worth the money.
There have only been 3 games not televised locally.
4 counting this weeks game.

The Broncos draw a lot of water in this country. Every notice how many times the #1 announcing team is assigned to our games, or how many times we've been on prime time (even counting the 2452 households that get NFLN).
The Broncos are the team of record in CO, WY, MN, NM, UT and parts of a bunch of boardering states. Our guys are the teams of the Rocky Mountain Empire.

So, let's compare:
Choice #1: Become a man-whore for the John Mark Karrs of the world; or
Choice #2: Endure unimaginable amounts of pain and the possible loss of your family jewels.
Family jewels. Man-whore. Excruciating pain. Performing in a sequined, frilly tutu for John Mark Karr (see below).
Okay, doc - I gotta take the sliding door.

I'm sick of the Steelers being on T.V. around here...they really aren't a fun team to watch. Same thing with the Jets. Semi-local, I guess. Looks like I'm watching this one through streamtvnow.
