It can be viewed that way but I dont think that was the idea. I think it was a grown man aproaching a young girl with a ballon and mom walks up when it happens not knowing what had actualy taken place. Hence the appearence line.

Sure is. Definitely portrays Asians in a negative light.

That was racist, but also pretty damn weird.
You know what I thought was racist? When Andy Griffith used to have those Ritz commericials and at the end he would say, "Good cracker, goooood cracker."

It evokes racism, as it was designed to, but isn't racist.

Yeah, that mirrors the racism that is rampant throughout Europe. Black people are commonly referred to with derogatory names, and ironically one of the more common names is "monkey".
The commercial is saying: "Look, this monkey can really do some neat things...it may be ugly, but give it a shot."
That is an unfortunate reality in most places around the world.

Typically....if you see the world in terms of race...you are the definition of a racist. Deal with it. It all goes back to the old saying...anytime you point a finger at someone else...there are always three pointing back at you.

I'm sorry, man, but that is absurd. If you observe someone defaming another individual through words or deeds based on their skin color and point that behavior out, the observer is the racist? C'mon.

I said typically. Obvious overt racism vs infered racism. Like when a person finds racism in a TV commercial...or considers bowling or pool racist games. Or "I didn't get that job" because they're racist and so on.
Another thing to consider is that we as humans based on our environment and level of civilization have all made racist comments or had racist surface thoughts at one time or another.

Racism, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder. For guys like Jesse Jackson, it's a very beautiful world out there.:thanku:

I still prefer the un-pimp your ride VW commercials in terms of politically incorrect ads.
