Wasn't he a pretty good recruiter at the college level? I ask because NU lost Blake who is in my opinion a top 5 recruiter himself. If thats the case UNC could start putting together some good teams soon.

Butch was supposedly a great recruiter. Not sure how much that will translate now that every D-I school is upgrading their facilities and what not to get players. That and the reemergence of the mid-level team, ex: Boise State, Louisville, maybe Rutgers and many others I think you see more talent spread out.
Of course the juggernauts will still get theres as well.

Davis was a very good recruiter in fact Coker was able to ride his coattails for quite some time with Davis's talent. But I don't know if that will even be enough to turn around NC. Their are so many schools so close to each other out there, I didn't realize it til I spent the summer in Charlotte. NC, NCST, Duke, SC, Clemson, WV, UVA, VT not to mention East Carolina and some of the smaller programs, the hunt for kids is tough and even "the ol ball coach" is having a rough time trying to turn it around.
