I just noticed that ever since Plummer hit the bench, the defense has really been stinking it up. Any chance of moving Plummer to Safety so the D can get rolling again???
What about Jake at D-end?
Kick returns?...
ST coach...?
I'm just sick of talking about San Diego, they can eat the turd right out of my butt. Is that a food comment???

The defense has been stinking it up before Plummer hit the bench. Some people are just noticing it now that Plummer is off the field. Remember the Indy game? 31 points wasn't even enough to win the damn game...

Methinks you have misinterpreted my ingenious insight.
I am a Cutler homer.
I just think if we are switching 175lb guys to Safety to cover 275lb pro-bowl tight ends, Jake might just have as good a shot as anyone. And, he is getting paid more. Might as well use him on kick returns too, he could throw a hell of a lateral....

Ah. Your point about undersized DBs is a good one...

Too bad we couldn't convine BVP to stick around and play safety. He would have been awesome with his athleticism and intensity. I think it would be cool to line up Plummer on short yardage situations and make the Defense go WTF and use his great scrambling skills to get a big first down every now and then. Kind of like BVP last year for the TD.

....and 27 wasnt enough to beat the chargers.
31 and 27 points against the top two teams in the conference......and our QUARTERBACK took the fall.
no use crying over spilled milk, and cutlers future looks bright, but those two games cost plummer his job, and plummer isnt the one that lost either of 'em.
far from it.

I will say, after seeing our defensive scheme live on Sunday.... Jake could probably play safety for this team. I mean, he'd apparently just stand in one area while 4 guys up front are pushed backwards and receivers run to open spots in our defense. Jake could handle that.

Correction, Jake's inconsistent play all year cost him his job. Not just 2 games. You claim that there's no use to cry over it but yet you find a way to cry like a little girl in just about every thread about it. If your moving on from it than move the **** on already. Jesus.

I've been talking about that all season. I can't help it if you're so fixated on Plummer that you haven't noticed my posts about the defensive line.
/still glad Plummer's riding pine.

Plummer wasn't a "fall guy"... he did not lose his job solely because the team lost two conference games; he lost his job because there were only 3 starting QBs in the league who had lower numbers than his. He lost the starting job because he threw more INTs than TDs and was averaging one touchdown per game. A 70-something QB rating might cut it in Arizona, but it won't in Denver, particularly not with the QBOTF waiting in the wings. Plummer had every opportunity to elevate his game and save his starting job, but couldn't or wouldn't do it.
