View Full Version : Bears:Grossman on a short leash
Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports Chicago Bears head coach Lovie Smith will pull QB Rex Grossman at halftime of the Week 14 game if he is struggling. Smith would replace Grossman with QB Brian Griese, who would start for the rest of the season. Griese would likely be the starter in the postseason, unless he struggles in the starting role.

Guess that means Lovie is a bad coach.

It's not like they have a stud rookie on the bench either...SOB in the Superbowl? :spit:

Griese could "manage" the bears offense better than Grossman, I think it is a bad idea though this late in the season. Boy, talk about a confidence squelcher to Grossman. Might ruin the guy.

They must hate winning.
Or they hate QBs who go 8-24 for 34 yards and three interceptions.
One of the two.

shoulda happened weeks ago. but when ur the qb there's a taboo in actually evaluating ur play when the team is winning.
Chicago is putting their hopes in the back pocket of one of the worst big game QB's over the last decade. I can't wait to watch this go down in flames.
