I just got my photo credential for the Den @SD game

I just got a call from the Chargers front office, and they told me that my request for a photo credential has been approved.

I told my editor that I was applying for the pass. I don't have to clear it with her, I just have to let her know what I'm applying for. I told her it was for a future NFL story. She thought about it, then said it's a good idea because the Chargers are the closest NFL team to LA. My first thought was that I better get a shot or two of the Chargers. She doesn't know that the only reason that I'm going to this game is to shoot the Broncos.

So who's going to the game? Anybody tailgating?

I also faxed a request to the Cardinals for a pass for their game against the Broncos on the 17th.

You remember that thread he had when he took pics at the ESPYs? That thread was a classic!! He took like two pics of athletes and 30 of the finest women at the event. And he had a story behind each one. "Here is the pic of Ananda Lewis. I asked for her digits and she gave me a smile." PRICELESS!!

It was funny because I took some heat over that thread. Some of the fellas enjoyed it. It was meant to be funny. The article that I wrote about the event was totally different.

As for Ananda Lewis, she wasn't at the ESPY's. The first time that I met her was at a black college football game at the Coliseum. I took a photo with her, spoke to her for a minute, and it ended at that. I didn't ask for her number. I bumped into her again at an event a couple of weeks ago. I took some photos of her when she was pumping up the crowd. After she left the stage I walked over to her and used a new photographers trick. I told her that I got some good shots of her. Of course she wanted to see them. So we're flipping through them and she liked a number of them. We were cracking jokes. I told her that I had met her about a couple months before at a football game. She told me that she remembered me, and she even remembered what I was wearing that day. So we talked for a few more minutes. I told her who I worked for, and she is very familiar with the paper. So I told her that I could send her the photos from that night and from the football game. So she pulls out a pen and paper and starts to write down a phone number and email address. I played it cool for the next few minutes until we parted ways. I had the biggest smile on my face for about the next day or so. Well, I don't have a happy ending yet. I sent her the photos a few days later, and gave her a call, but it was to her voice mail. I left a message, but that's as far as I'm going with it. She's either going to call or she isn't. I'm not waiting around for that call, but you never know.

And you know what Jason, you might just have a chance with her. Most guys don't approach beautiful women. Ugly women get all the attention because most guys can feel like they can talk to them. Ananda probably gets hit on like twice a year and that is probably from Collin Farrell and Jamie Foxx. You might be on to something here, man.
