I watched the game again last night, and after he went out, it looked like both offense and defense really weren't interested in playing football. I think that blow to our collective psyche cost us the game more than anything else. Until that injury we were playing with passion on defense and I thought playing inspired ball considering the conditions of an offense handcuffed by the rook, and the weather conditions. Personally, I believe that were he not injured, we'd be talking about whether or not we wanted Baltimore or New England in the first round of the playoffs.

Yea, thats what I said at the game. When that happened, I knew that game was going to bet MUCH harder.

Every team plays with injuries. According to league "experts" injuries across the lines and QB are the hardest to overcome.

In that case we have one meaningful injury, Lepsis. But hte offense sucked with him to.

I wonder how much Courtney Brown's absence is hurting this team. It seems he was our best run stopping DE and we sure could use that with the slate of backs we have played this season. Plus its just one more body to keep guys like Dumervile and Lang fresh for pass rushing situations.

When its 16 degrees outside, and you watch one of your best friends, the heart and soul of your defense, and your leader get carted off the field, its a pretty big thing. I understand that injuries happen a lot, but when they happen like that, it takes their mind off the game completely. It happened when mobley went down against baltimore a few years ago.

the injury was huge , I think 90% of the people there wanted D will flogged , hanged , Choked , Shot , Stabed , Pushed off a tall building , then have bamboo slivers shoved under his fingernails ............ took alot of the wond from the sails

I think the emotions had less to do with it than the ability Al brings. On the final drive Hasselback picked almost exclusively on the middle of the field.

Yeah but he played in 3.5 quarters of that game. The outcome was decided by all the mistakes that happened before he got hurt.

I love Wilson and am not trying to devalue him. His injury is huge and I was as scared as anyone to see him get carted off. But the team has to buck up and win.

And even after all that we still would have said he got off easy.

When he went out there was definite emotional let down in the next series by the Defense. In fact that was the only time the Seattle completed a deep pass that lead to the TD. When a leader falls it going cause problems to the troops.

Our offense wasent hitting the big plays but Jake was getting more time then and our running game was working ex.Ravens game...With Lepsis back I dont think as much pressure is put on Jay against the Hawks and he dosent throw that second pick.

I thought the same thing! I was sure they would play inspired and tough football to win the game for Al... it sucks that it didn't happen that way. :(

So who do you think will be inactive this week, since we'll probly activate Webster? To play on defense and give Al a break, here and there.
