Anyone ever had a squagle? They are just like a bagle... only square. You drop your round bagle and you have to run that b!tch down. Squagles.. pass it on..

This quite possibly may be the dumbest, and the most hysterical post I've seen yet. Nice take. Really, nice. F'ing genius.

Nope, but you know what we have here? Round bagles but with NO HOLE. How about THAT! (oh wait, are a donut and a bagle the same thing? :~ohyah!: )

Not the kid's fault he was thrown to the wolves before he was ready with no offensive line.

I don't suppose you care to realize we were constantly starting drives within our 20 yard line.

Well I've got a "holy sh!t" kind of idea now... square and imperforate bagles! There will be no running down of the dropped bagles. There will be no cream cheese slippin' through the hole. I will call it toast!

Lemon merengue? Pretty good. But if I had to choose, I think it'd be a chocolate pie. (we call it "budin de chocolate")
I'm not a big fan of lemon. :)

So... what's your favorite SALAD? :giggle:

100 post rule.

Only a moron would believe that a throw in the 2nd half of a rookie's first game would cost the team any hopes of a playoff run.

Anyway, there's this machine they sell at Target. It's like an all-in-one where you essentially make your own Egg McMuffins. $40 or so. Anyone seen it?

clarkster
12-05-2006, 10:55 AM
nope, but it sounds kind of cool. ive seen similar contraptions, theyre called a "frying pans" and "toasters". it doesnt suprise me that someone came up with a all in one machine to do this though...now that i think about it, the all in one machine i know of that does egg mcmuffins is called an "automobile" normally used in conjunction with a "drive thru window"

What a genius......maybe if you took Plummer's b@lls out of your mouth....you'd have the ability to see that this kid is world's better.....

Refusing to criticize Plummer after 10 years of crappy play....yet criticizing the rookie after only ONE game.......these Plummer nut-swingers never cease to amaze me.....

Did we really have any hope with Jake? Our only hope is to get the kid some games and mistakes under his belt before next year.4321~

wow.

what did you do here?
just move from bashing jake to bashing jay?

you STILL dont see that the qb isnt even AMONG the glaring issues on this team?
its bad enough that most everyone blamed plummer before sunday, and its even WORSE that people will now blame cutler.
the kid is a rookie for crying out loud.
just like plummer, he has to deal with marginal protection, a lack of production from tight ends, lack of separation from wr's, and a defense that has major issues pressuring the opposing qb which makes them struggle to stop the opponent from throwing the ball (especially in 2 min. drills)

give the kid a break.
sure, he was terrible sunday.
ill go a step further and say that we wouldve won that game with plummer.
still, we werent gonna win a superbowl either way (HIGHLY unlikely anyway), and like it or not the switch was made, so just get behind the guy and look to the future.

as bad as cutler was, there were a couple passes, and one in particular (a 3rd quarter ROCKET in between defenders about 10 yards downfield) that had to make you say "wow" and think that while the present (and IMMEDIATE future) might be a struggle, the future looks bright.

if you wanna blame anyone, blame the coach who made the switch telling us that cutler gave us "a better chance to win RIGHT NOW" and then called the most conservative vanilla gameplan since last century.
dont blame the rookie who got thrown in the fire.

thats how i look at it.
there was HOPE with jake, but VERY slim hopes after we blew the lead against san diego and never got it going against kc.
it stinks that plummer (who has been nothing but good for this town) is the fall guy, and while cutler cant solve the real glaring issues on this team, he CAN get some valuable experience.

yeah, we probably wouldve won sunday with plummer, but would we win the superbowl this year with plummer?
seeing the inconsistencies on defense and the multitude of issues on offense?
VERY unlikely. EXTREMELY unlikely.

yeah, shanny mightve been stretching truth a bit when he said cutler "gives us the best chance to win right now," but obviously the kid has a ton of talent, and while no coach can admit to packing it in for a season (especially when youre 7-4) and playing for the future, i think there is some justification for doing just that.
is that what he did when he made the move?

probably (IMO anyway), but next season at this time im guessing we'll all be happy that cutler got some reps in this season.

i had very high hopes for this season, but as it progressed those hopes got crushed.
indy showed that our defense still cant get to the qb against the best and that our defense will still fold when teams can throw the ball constantly and consistently.
against san diego we blew a 24-7 lead and likely the afc west.
against kc we just sealed the deal.
it was all VERY tough to swallow, because we were so close in so many ways.
the defense was one dominant (or even "very good") lineman (and probably a better nickel back) away from greatness, and while the offense had issues from jump (lack of tight end production, inconsistent line play and running game, and lack of separation from wr's), we had a qb who was a winner and we had the ability to make some plays here and there and get the wins.

unfortunately, it came unraveled.
plummer shouldnt be the fall guy, but he is.

cutler is here, and the best thing for all of us would be for him to be around for a long long time.
now that he's in, lets just hope he can get the experience he needs and we can have a smooth transition.
a transition that maybe gives us that same hope next season.

How'd you feel about Elway's first game out? (hint: He was 1-8, and got pulled.)

Agreed, I threw the season out the window after the SD meltdown, unless they could go into hotdog stand stadium on T-Day and pull off an unlikely win. Up 24-7 with division in the hands and piss down their legs and lose. Jake how would you of felt if it was the CLE BROWNS that came back and won?

Atleast he threw the ball with his right hand.
