Would drafting peterson be worth trading all our picks, ala ricky williams?
We need a stud rb, and he is that and more.

No one is worth an entire draft, especially a back that can't stay healthy.

i may be on the cheap end of the spectrum for RBs but im pretty sure were all in agreement that we should not overpay for a RB.
oh and for future reference. we have a whole section on the mane dedicated to draft discussion. its on the front page, NFL Draft

Why, Just draft Michael Bush... he'll be a better pro anyways.

Yep, but he won't make it to the 20's.
Bush better than Peterson.... Pa-lease. Peterson is faster, moves better, can catch the ball. Bush is the next coming of Ron Dayne.

See i never thought Petersen was that fast... Then again i've only seen him injured on the sidelines !Booya!

I wouldn't trade all the picks for Peterson, even though he likely would be the ebst RB prospect available. Count me as someone against Michael Bush. The knocks on him are he doesn't take training that seriously, needs to drop 15-20 pounds, and isn't great running between the tackles. Just sounds like a bigger, slower Tatum Bell to me.

See I've never heard he had any problems running between the tackles... In fact i heard that where he was at his best.

Absolutely not, he is to injury prone. Also RB is not the only need, we need a DL who can make an impact. I suspect that will be who Denver goes after in the first round.

IMO AP has a really high bust chance. I mean when he is on the field he is a legitimate talent...however two of the past three seasons in college he has been nicked or hurt and it even wehnhe played hurt it hurt his production in a big way.
not worth it...not even worth trading up for at all imo, many good backs near us like Bush and Lynch (who I'd love to see in a denver uni :D)
Yep, but he won't make it to the 20's.
Lynch is a back taht id trade up for if I am looking to draft an rb... if not i say take the best de available at our pick (if we even are outta the 20's.... we got a tougher schedule ahead than originally thought)

I would like to see tatum bell + 5th or 6th round pick to go to chicago for thomas jones. And if we can get Billy volek for a backup QB. we have those situations fixed and we can concentrate on defense alone. I think Tony Scheff.. will come back and we dont need a TE.
Jake wont have a trade value. I seriously think he will either going to Arizona were he started or minnesota or washington... as back up.
we badly need a DL and Safety and If possible draft a CB who is tall.

the best back i can think of is tiki barber... can we talk him out of retirement for a year once he retiers at the end of the season, for him and broncos to have a shot at the super bowl.. he can go out like jerome betties did.

I know nothing of Lynch, but Irons would be a good fit. As draft time rolls around we'll have a better idea of who is best for the team. As for the original question: hell no.

Info. about Bush from Pro Football Weekly, who had write-ups on players going into this season, stated that he "can push the pile and be effective as a goalline runner, but he is not a true between the tackles grinder" and "does not slam it inside with authority the way a back his size could." They do say he has the agility to get outside and has enough speed to do so and catches the ball well. But they also question his seriousness in conditioning and diet and would benefit if he lost some weight.
I don't want Thomas Jones. I'd rather get someone who has less mileage on his legs and has a good chance to be around awhile.

I do like Lynch though. He hasn't had very good games the times I've seen him, but seems to be a tough inside runner with enough speed to get outside.
