Hey right after the draft someone posted a thread with a link to Vand Univ site where u could view a large portion or fullv version of Vanderbilt's 2005 games on video.

I am have gone to the official site and can't find them anymore. These where great footage on what to expect from Cutler.

Just having that arm in our offense is going to make a difference, even if we are spoon feeding him the playbook .

that's a bad ball into double coverage, pick in NFL. I can't wait for next sun night.

It's a bullet but still a poor decision to throw it, lets be realistic here.

That young QB that has the arm strength to complete the Deep Out, from the other side of the field, on a line, something that Plummer cannot do.

I'm just admiring the arm...Jake would have dropped it 5 yards in front of the receiver or lofted a rainbow for a pick...I can't wait to see lasers all over the field again...it's been so long since we could ATTACK a defense. Granted, he'll make mistakes...

But won't it be great when he starts to get it?

The ball was thrown exactly where it had to be. What are you talking about? People don't realize the crap he had to work with.

NOT ONE PLAYER ON THAT TEAM EVEN GOT AN INVITE TO THE COMBINE. NOT ONE.

Cutler basically stuffed the ball down his throat. You don't even know what to look for. You people don't even know what a great throw that was into double coverage.

That play seemed to be mainly a superior effort by the wideout.

Get used to seeing Jay try to force the ball into tight spots and get picked off. Every young QB with a big arm goes through that phase. Not all of them come out of it.

You need to lay off the sauce, I am excited a hell for the kid deep in's/outs, posts on a rope, comebacks with the ball getting there in time for WR making play etc, but that is a throw into double coverage that WILL BE A PICK IN NFL. Take your glasses off, the WR made a nice catch. I saw Cutler in person make his best throw and worst throw. TD pass 65 yards rolling left for a TD. And a throw like the one in the video INT returned for TD. You know what the most impressive thing was after the INT he drove the team down the field with confidence for a score just before halftime. Mock is the O4L of cutler.

there are two things that concern me with Cutler - his overconfidence in the strength of his arm and the fact he locks onto receivers at times. Nice thing though is it looked like rarely played in clean pocket, and won't panic the first time that happen when foster let his man go free. Plus he lot faster and more mobile then I thought, after watching the Google video

Your a fool..he threw it to the only spot he could. Of course he threw INT's at Vandy. He will throw them in Denver too...YOU lay off the sauce.

I'm the one that said Plummer would be cond this week. Not you.

Has it possibly occured to you he was throwing that because he was behind?

WTF did you just post....after the INT...he drove the team down for a TD.

Next. Cut your balls of and stop embarrasing yourself.

OH..BTW...Look up his TD/INT ratio.

No score was 7's.

I posted I'm a Huge Cutler fan and it was impressive to watch him comeback and run a 2 min offense for a score after throwing a pick 6. I'm not ripping the guy never said he threw lots of picks in college, I'm just replying it was a bad decision to throw the ball into double coverage. You are the one embarassing yourself saying it was a perfect ball, lay off the Popov mock. He's a great talent and the news he will start is exciting but he will make mistakes face it.

The Cutler videos from last year were available through yahoo sports with Lincoln Financial as the sponsor. This years games are avalaible now. I watched the first few minutes of one of Vandy's games the other day thinking it was the Tennessee Vandy game only to realize once Vandy got the ball that the QB was definitely not Cutler. So, I'm guessing they aren't available any longer.

I posted links to the various college newspapers from schools where we took players at, including the "Vanderbilt Hustler", which now has been renamed, but I don't remember there being any video links. I checked for archives on the new site and didn't see any...I don't think they'd carry that stuff beyond the same year the team plays...maybe somebody saved the files?

I love his mobility, too.... couple of nice runs on that video. He had no problems eluding rushers in the pre-season. Seems to have that instinct, which is so crucial.

His sense of knowing when to step up in the pocket was something I noticed about him in the preseason. He did a good job of feeling the rush coming and eluding it while keeping his eyes downfield.

I may be forgetting one somewhere, but I don't remember him getting sacked in the preseason.

As some of you know I'm a Chiefs fan. I live in Nashville and watched pretty much every home snap that Cutler ever took. Let me tell you, nothing made me angrier than seeing the Broncos pick him up since he's going to be playing my team's division rival. Either way, you guys are on your way up once he gets settled in. And, I don't think it will take him long to get settled in. First, he played for Vandy. Vandy is my favorite team but I'm man enough to admit that if you have success there, you are being primed early for the pros. You wouldn't believe how many lasers Cutler threw on-target to receivers with defensive players right in his face. As far as handling pressure goes, Jay has icewater in his vains. It takes a whole hell of a lot to get under his skin. Even when they would be trailing by tons of points, Cutler would stay calm and get them back into the game. He has the exact mindset and toughness that Favre/Elway had in their prime. Expect John Madden to develop a huge mancrush on Cutler over the next few years. I have very little doubt that he's going to be a GREAT NFL Qb. Enjoy it guys, you made a great draft pick......dammit!

In a way, I did. During the gameday thread for the game this week, all us Chiefs fans were going crazy (for good reason) but lots of them were celebrating Cutler becoming the starter. While I can't blame them since he hasn't been tested I made sure to tell them that I watched Cutler throughout college and told them that I believe he's for real. I've never thought much of Plummer even going back to his Arizona days. I think Cutler will definitely be an upgrade for you guys. I'm a Chiefs fan but I can still give the Broncos some respect when it comes to a great draft pick like this. Hell, I don't understand why the Titans picked VY over Cutler. I watched both quarterbacks closely through their college careers and I think VY is going to be a much bigger work in progress. Cutler always reminded me of Favre/Elway and just seems prepared to step in and start whipping tail. Part of me hopes I'm wrong (the Chiefs fan in me) but part of me wishes Jay the best (the Vandy fan in me).

The Ole' Miss game from last year was amazing. He rolled out and as he's getting nailed by a linebacker he throws the ball off one foot thirty yards down field and hits a receiver in the endzone right in the hands. That was the play that sold it for me.
