Only five games left, but five big ones:
Kansas City -
@ Cleveland
Baltimore
@ San Diego
@ Oakland
Jacksonville
I see us going 4-1. I like our team at home against anyone with a bad offense, and Cleveland and Oakland are pushovers. The Oakland game is on national TV so it scares me a little bit, but I'm hoping the Raiders will have quit by that point.
Chiefs finish 11-5.
Denver -
Seattle
@ San Diego
@ Arizona
Cincinnatti
San Francisco
I called 9-7 in another thread and I'm sticking to it. After seeing you lose to the Chargers and Chiefs, I don't see you guys beating Seattle, San Diego or Cincinatti. All of those teams have the talent on the offensive line to push you around, particularly the Bengals, who should just shred your defense. You'll grab wins against the bottom feeders.
Broncos finish 9-7.
San Diego -
Oakland
@ Buffalo
Denver
Kansas City
@ Seattle
Arizona
This is a nice cushion for the Chargers at the end of the year. The only loss looks like the Seattle road game, and that is definitely winnable. It will take a COMPLETE collapse for the Chargers to lose the division to KC. I'll say they go 5-1 and finish 13-3. Things could get really interesting if Denver can pull one out of their ass and actually beat them, though. That would open a window for KC to win the division.
Chargers finish 13-3.

Depends. If we get good play out of Culter ( if he starts ) than it could be a lot more interesting. Despite our struggles we've been in every game this year so i still think we have a shot at turning it around.

I see wins at both Cincinnati and Seattle. It's hard to sweep the same division opponent in one season, so there's a chance at San Diego too. Cincinnati's defense has holes and if Cutler comes in and plays well the Broncos win. Seattle just isn't the same team they were last year. Alexander and Hasselbeck will both be showing rust, so their offense shouldn't be a whole lot to worry about.

I see KC losing one of their last two at home and losing at San Diego. That would make them 3-2 in their final 5. I have no clue how Denver will respond to a new QB, so that's completely up in the air. This is San Diego's division to lose...

KC doesn't lose at home in December. They haven't in 10 yrs. I fear for the road games. That said if we can manage a win next Saturday at Cleveland we should be sitting fairly well. I've already chalked up the game in Eggo a loss. But I'll still watch.

I would be surprised if Denver lost to Seattle. Those guys seem lost over there.

Well they're finally getting everyone back healthy, but I gotta say that I do believe in the Madden Curse.

But bob started this thread to try and get into that argument, anyways who knows with rookie Q if that is true but Seattle has injuries, rust, Playing in denver and denver with a losing streak all against them. Who knows in NFL even cleveland could win next week.

Even healthy...Alexander doesn't scare me...in the least. Hassleback? He can make things happen. Maybe this is offbase. I just think its a team who has no swagger. They won't do anything embaressing or Raiders-esque but they won't win.

Thanks for your time Mr. Madden.
I see Cutler struggling some, but the D will get their **** together and bail him out in a couple games. Best case scenario: Broncs make 6th seed and lose in Baltimore.

Meh, I'd like to see us have some post season success, but we're terribly injured, and no rookie QB has ever won a Super Bowl. I just hope to see some improvement and have us finish on a strong note. At least it will be more fun watching football games this year.

I doubt Seattle will beat Denver or San Diego. I've had to suffer through a lot of their games this year, and they consistantly look weak.
KC could easily lose any game left on their schedule. They'll probably drop 2 or 3.
Cleveland isn't as bad as their record.
Baltimore is a better all around team than KC.
San Diego will be looking for revenge.
Oakland almost won in KC on Aaron Brooks' first game back.
Jacksonville is hot and cold. They have the talent to win, but probably won't.
I don't know what to expect from Denver right now.

The consensus chef fan prediction is 4-1 but they only predicted 1 loss starting at Miami game too. Tell me why CLE can't beat KC? They played Pitt tougher than KC, they have played in a lot of close games. Hell it's funny chef fans count the OAK game as a sure win even after the game in KC. I can say my prediction for DENVER is I have no idea especially with turmoil.

Besides san diego the only other game i see as any challenge in Jax. You just never know when that teams going to show up but when they do they are a great team. 11-5 sounds about right
Denver -
Seattle

@ Arizona
Cincinnatti
San Francisco

Well we will know more after the seattle game but seattle isnt playing very well at all and the game is at home so i dont see us losing that one. Cincys defense is non existent,if any team is going to help ease jay in its cincy, that being said i dont know about darrent covering TJ so that could be a loss. SD is a loss IMO. I really dont see us losing to zona or san fran.
10-6 is forseable.
San Diego -
Oakland

Denver
Kansas City

I saw a team who was beatable at home, and who hasn't done much on the road to convince me that they can go into San Diego and steal a win. I think Baltimore can corral the Chiefs offense and steal a game, and I think Jacksonville can do the same. I see the Chiefs easily beating Cleveland and Oakland.
Chiefs finish 9-7, which is what I had them figured for from the start.
Denver -
Seattle - W
@ San Diego - L
@ Arizona - W
Cincinnatti - W
San Francisco -W
I don't know what Bob thinks he sees in Seattle, but I personally have no doubt about this game. Our team is going to be angry coming out, and our coaches have 10 days to prepare for them. After that, I think we lose to San Diego, and then win out against some teams that are pretty vulnerable.
Broncos finish 11-5
San Diego -
Oakland - W
@ Buffalo - W
Denver - W
Kansas City - W
@ Seattle - W
Arizona - W
I have these all listed as wins, but honestly I think that San Diego will lose one of these games. Probably the Seattle game.
Chargers finish 13-3.

Are you ignorant of our record at home in December? You're asking two pathetic offenses to come into hell and win. Tall order. These two games will also mark the first starts at Arrowhead for McNair and Garrard, which also spells W for the Chiefs.

Seattle gave us a better game than you did. They are getting both Hasselbeck and Alexander back, so it's another tough day for your defense. You will need 27 to win.

I think both of those teams have the defenses to do it. I especially like Jacksonville's chance, with the one-two punch of Taylor and Jones-Drew.

I think we'll need 17, and get 28. Seattle never wins in Mile High.

Wow. Jacksonville has lost road games to Houston and Washington. In fact, they have one road win this entire season. I don't see how they have a prayer.
Baltimore could barely handle the Titans and Browns on the road. They also lost to some team with Jake Plummer at quarterback on the road.

Jax is now getting back it WR corp that was banged most of the year, and Garrard is more mobile then Leftwich, who was playing injuried. While Baltimore Defense will be able to man handle your offense and McNair will be able complete the required passes required to move the ball againts your defense. And I wouldn't sleep on Frye, his is better then you think.

If your defense was capable of going into Cleveland and shutting them down, I'm sure ours is, too. After all, we have a pass rush.
