The point of saying Larry Johnson is better than what the Broncos have is that he had the biggest impact for the Chiefs. No one else had the impact he had. If Johnson wasn't in that game, the Chiefs don't win. All the positions you mentioned are much more debatable than Johnson over Bell/Nash.

We aren't playing at a very high level of football and that has been the case for a few weeks now. That said, this assessment is one that applies for just this general snapshot in time, IMO. So yes, despite the records being the same, and last night's game being back and forth, I don't think there is a great deal of dispute on the question of which team is performing at a higher level. Some of the problems that have plagued us all season long are becoming especially acute now, and some other areas, such as consistency of good play at the linebacking position, for example, is starting to decline as well. I still don't think either team is substantially better than the other, but as of right now, and the last few weeks or so, the Chiefs have been, collectively, playing better football.

The Chiefs were definetly the better team on Thursday, but that's it. When both teams are playing up to their potential, we are undoubtedly better.

Our team made many mental errors thursday night that they simply cannot keep making if they plan to win anything meaningful this year. I counted a plethora of missed tackles on LJ where had our defenders simply wrapped up and made a fundamentally sound tackle, we probably hold him to under 100 yards.

Our offensive line was putting forth no effort through much of the game. I've never seen such a lack of effort from them, ever, and that is where our troubles started. We couldn't get a running game going and Plummer had people in his face all night. Our defensive line did better than the O-line, but not by much.

Our inability to control the LOS is what killed this team. We have to fix that if we want to make a solid run at a Super Bowl this year.

First and foremost -

Coaching - Denver. Shanny's won multiple SB's and is moving up the list in All Time Wins, pretty much going to be a HOF coach. Edwards - really hasn't done anything besides get to the playoffs a few times.

QB - KC. I like Green. He's a classy guy and a good QB. Plummer just tries hard but has tagged along for the ride for many of the wins over the past few years.

OL - Toss up. Both lines have been mentioned as the best for years.

DL - KC. Denver hasn't had a decent pass rush in years.

LB - Denver. Our backers are always talked about as maybe the best in the league.

DB - Denver. Any secondary with Champ and Lynch would get my vote any day.

RB - KC. Johnson is far superior to anything Denver has.

WR - Denver. I'd take Rod and Walker any day over what the Chiefs have.

TE - KC. Tony is solid and pretty much way more reliable then what Denver has.

There you have the break down. Who's better. You can only answer that on a game by game basis. KC was better last game. We were better the 1st time.

Thanks for the great game and it would be nice if we could settle the 1-1 regular season split in the AFC Championship game. Of course KC goes on to the superbowl tho. :D

My biggest worry is that the Browns or Oakland, hell... even the Jags, will be taken lightly and we drop a heart breaker. *sheesh* Pretty much every game from here on out for the both of us are must win.

No I wasn't referencing all Chief fans just the usual suspects around here. I agree on a lot of your points. Jags I think you guys can beat pretty handily, that was just to get the goat of some other fans. Broncs are in the same spot and have a lot of questions. Who knows what happens.
