I mean...I saw alot of 'em at Arrowhead. I've made a few bad jersey decisions myself so I'm not above blame. But getting rid of a jersey sucks...

Last season, I donated my Plummer jersey to the Salvation Army after the first game and he started playing like a Pro Bowler for the rest of the season. So, it was gone a year ago...

An extremely modest man was in the hospital for a series of tests, the last of which had left his bodily systems extremely upset. Upon making several false alarm trips to the bathroom, he decided the latest episode was another and stayed put. He suddenly filled his bed with diarrhea and was embarrassed beyond his ability to remain rational. In a complete loss of composure he jumped out of bed, gathered up the bedsheets, and threw them out the hospital window.
A drunk was walking by the hospital when the sheets landed on him. He started yelling, cursing, and swinging his arms violently trying to get the unknown things off, and ended up with the soiled sheets in a tangled pile at his feet.
As the drunk stood there, unsteady on his feet, staring down at the sheets, a hospital security guard (barely containing his
laughter) who had watched the whole incident walked up and asked, "What the heck is going on here?"
The drunk, still staring down replied: "I think I just beat the **** out of a ghost"

"Bad decision?"
Don't mix your own team's failures with our QB who's won 39 games over 3.5 years, something I'd be shocked if any Chef's QB has done lately, if ever.
Maybe you didn't notice the Jake appreciation thread, but even most people who have called for his head appreciate what he did for the team.
I don't have one, but my son does. He'll probably keep it and wear it from time to time. It's his decision. He loves the team. He's only 12, so he's not really into the message board-hate thing. He doesn't know he's supposed to hate our QB. Kind of refreshing, really. He rooted for him and now he seems to be excited about Cutler given the 10,000 questions he's asked me about the guy. But, aren't we all. (Besides you of course, Bob.)
The only "mistake" I made was not getting him a Cutler jersey last week when I ordered him a Bailey jersey at 40% off.

Dang, I just looked in my closet, I have 3 different Elway jerseys which I preserve and dont wear, #87, and my good luck orange Lynch jersey that I proudly wear for each game ( unwashed). But I did find an orange plummer jersey in the back of the closet. Its in perfect shape, cause I never wore it. Im thinking bout taking it in some where to see if they can take off the 1 and Plummer off it. I dont know if its do-able, but going to try.

I know the name can be changed ,as many people had their Portis jerseys become T Bell. But if you take off the 1, the 6 would be off-center and that would look pretty nasty.

Really? I never found a place to get one done. I still have a Orange Portis jersey i rarely wear. I also have an Authentic Rod Smith jersey i hate to wear also.
I'd like to get Bell put on that jersey.

Smith? Elway?
Paul Ernster?:approve:
Smith is signed an in a frame, along with another McCaffrey and TD. The Elway has long been outgrown and was probably given to Goodwill.
Didn't want to spend the money to customize a blank or I would have an Ernster. If I can go to the team store and find one there, I'd buy it in a second.

I'm surprised people aren't choosing the Ebay route. I dumped two Elvis Grbac's, a Derrick Alexander and a Joe Montana that way. I was surprised.

Sounds like you go queer over whoever chefs QB is. By the way Plummer is a better Q than Grbac.

I don't have one...but Hogan does!
Yes I do...it's the last of the replica "player" jerseys I bought...now that I have two personalized authentic jerseys, I have no need to shell out good money for these things at an increase of around $10.00 per year.
Ebay is the best route for this. I figure, I got the thing in '04 when replicas were still in the 50 dollar range (they now are about $75)...I'm not gonna burn it and get no return for it.....even a little bit back is something and you never really know what it'll net. I got a little over $50 for my old replica Kenoy Kennedy jersey last year, so I know it's entirely possible.
So Ebay it is...unless Mock wants to buy this one off from me like he did my old Griese jersey. ;D
