View Full Version : If only we had 11 Champ Bailey's
That defensive performance yesterday was sick. The only bright spot was that Champ showed that he's not only far and above better then any DB in the league, me just might be the best Defensive player in the league. Normally I would say it's probably pretty bad when your corner is the best pure tackler on your team but not in this case. Champ is probably one of the best tacklers in the league. Now we know why he's nicknamed CHAMP. He should be in the running for Defensive MVP of the year.

We couldnt afford to pay 11 Champs but it is a nice thought.

I just wish we had a "Champ-like" player at safety, next to Lynch.

The guy can play. There are not many corners in the league, if any, that are such good tacklers as he is.
I was at the game and watched Bailey a few plays. Trent didn't even bother to look towards Bailey's guy. And he was always around the play.
When the Broncos traded Portis for Bailey, I thought it was a thoroughly dumb move. You just don't give up 1500 yard backs for corners, no matter how good they are. Fast forward to today, and the Broncos most definitely got the better of that trade.
I'm glad Shanny wasn't using him on punt returns last night. That guy is hell on wheels in the open field.

And I want a young one straight out of college too. Ed Reed Jr.
No more Father Time's like Lynch.
We need to get younger back there.
We wont have Champ forever, then what we're left with?

They would have been defeated by our 11 Larry Johnsons.

I think Champ is probably the number 1 defensive player in the NFL, amazing player that guy. I like what Jared Allen is doing to as well.

Coming from a rival this is high praise. I seen the differnt ways posters took the trade and just wondering who else besides me, when they heard this news jumped up and yelled "Hell Yea". I have always thought we took the skins and it wasnt close then and it isnt close now.

Yeah, you guys scored on that one obviously.

Larry's a great player no doubt and IF he ever makes 7 consecutive probowls and you can definitively say he's the best RB in the league by a mile, then we can have this conversation. Gimme a break.

I forgot to mention that my 11 LJ's were being coached by a mini-Ditka.

If only we had 11 Champ Bailey's
...we'd be millions and millions over the cap.
...We'd have a pretty tiny D-line.
...We'd probably have the greatest secondary of all time.
...We'd be arrested for illegal cloning.
...We'd be able to make some pretty sweet trades.

Final score:
11 LJ's-3
11 Champ's-3
Mini-Ditka's-112
Mini-Ditka got bored and decided to suit up halfway through the first quarter. The 22 Champ's & LJ's stood no chance. ;D
