I have been behind Plummer all season and after lastnight still not calling for Cutler, but would welcome the change regardless.

But my question is this. Will Cutler catch balls for himself? What is up, I swear I think every starter dropped a pass lastnight. Was the Int a bad throw...YES, but most other te's in the league would have caught it. The thrown to nash, I thought it was really high at first but after watching it over, Most rb's would have caught it. Rod dropped a catch he could catch in his sleep, Javon the same.

I would hate to think they are dropping balls for the sake of a qb change, but seriously when was the last time you ever seen so many dropped pass in a season from the broncos?

maybe you should look at the other "catches" that the people made that wasnt on line. that offsets the drops. look at the last play of the game he had plenty of time to hit rod and over threw him. if cutler doesnt play then i will still support jake but the writing is on the wall

You mean the last play on 4th and long that they called for rod to go half the distance...oh yeah that play.

Also is it too much to ask for the denfese backs to actually play near the line instead of letting the offense get 5 yards per catch right in front of you, then miss the tackle and run for another 15?

Uhh, virtually every year!

Remember Lelie, Watts?

Let me put it this way. Look back at the Cleveland game, Oak games, etc. Ever remember so many DBs dropping Plummer interceptions?

Plummer is DONE, there are no conspiracies to screw him out the QB job. He did it to himself.

I don't want Shanahan to concede the season and damage a future QB - I just want a quarterback able to make the reads and deliver the ball. This is probably what the Shay wants too. I miss Gary Kubiak.

I didn't get to see the game, but I heard the Westwood One Radio broadcast with Dick Enberg and Sam Wyche. They pointed out on that 4th down play that there was another receiver wide open that had enough for the first down, but for some unknown reason, Plummer threw into coverage at a receiver that wasn't going to make the first down. They pointed this out on at least a couple of other occasions where Plummer didn't throw to an open receiver. Wyche mentioned that the poor decision making by Plummer was the reason that he was probably going to be replaced.

hey it was just a question. You may not like the thread but noone told you to post here, and it is a valid question....when does rod ever drop passes like the one he did lastnight? Doesn't mean he did it on purpose but something else is bothering this team.

That sh*t has been annoying me all season long. And even when he does throw to wide open guys, a lot of times the ball is poory underthrown like that goal line pass to Rod against the raiders, and the passes thrown behind and well short of Alexander last nite.

being restricted to what the camera caught and they showed I don't know, when they showed the replay even NFL network said Rod was the only 1 open and it was a poor decision because he wouldn't have got the first. Maybe someone was open they missed I have no clue.

Saying most tightends make the catch that turned into a Pick is just stupid. It was behind him. He had to spin against his momentum and could just get one hand on the ball. 100% of nfl tight ends drop that throw.

doubt it. Heap, Gates, conzales, both clarks, they make that catch all the time.

Mcmichael, Davis, Witten, they could make the catch as well.

Tell me about it.

We already had several posts claiming that Mike has asked Jake to throw the ball from the pocket because he wants him to fail so he can easily start Jay without all the drama!

Something about a QB switch brings out all the loonies:

Don't worry Baja. Things will get a lot better with Cutler starting from next year.

So you actually think Rod Smith would intentionally drop a pass to help force a QB change.

You are dumber than Boob. Do you need assistance to remember to breath?

ok so your point is here on the last play in the 4th that rod dropped it??
dont think so. jake had a lot of time and over threw him clearly. they have been showing it all day on nfl network. the fact is that you cant see that jake is misreading plays throwing above the recievers, behind them, over them and to there credit they have hauled in some hell of catches. jake hasnt been getting the job done. also if that penalty on kircus wasnt there that would have been 1 terrible throw after the other. oh and the penalty was on the other side of the field and had nothing to do with the play in case you were wondering. jake didnt see the penalty and juist throw it up.
