Seeing what everyone's thoughts are for the rest of the season... What can the kid realistically do the rest of the way.

We do an ala Pittsburgh of '05 and win our last 5 games and storm into the playoffs on the back of the young gunslinger. I really have a good feeling about the rest of the year. Cutler's strong arm and quick release will rally the team and we will win Super Bowl 41 against Dallas.

He either kicks ass out of the gate, plays like a rookie, or somewhere in between. It doesn't matter to me. The games will be fun to watch. We either get into the playoffs and have a shot or at the least with get a better draft spot with a lot of hope for next year.

I will have some excitement for him but if the team is still moping or unmotivated he will not get a lot of help. If he starts, he needs his teamates to show up. All of them..

If Cutler starts next week and leads us to the playoffs, that'll be great experience for him. Anything extra the team does in the playoffs is gravy (I would expect a quick exit).
On the post game talk show on KOA tonight one caller who seemed to know what he was talking about said Mike Heimindinger is the "mole" on the staff feeding Adam Shefter of NFL Network his information (about Cutler's soon to be promotion). Shefter and Heimindinger were close when Adam covered the team for the Denver Post.
