Everyone that is a football nut could see Denver had major weaknesses even though they were squeaking by. Lets review, I am glad I wasn't caught saying this D was great one of the best. You could see a trainwreck coming with so many close poorly played wins.

1. It's the same D as last couple years. There is only 1 and I mean 1 playmaker on D. DL has been beaten to death no need to talk about them. The LB are a joke and I might get blasted for this but the don't make big plays when was the last time one of them had a pick. When has one of them created a sack for a fumble, or even batted a pass down on third down. It's just too bad Gold didn't go to Tampa then Den could of possibly picked Jackson which is another need right now. This D was very lucky to go so long averaging 7 pts a game as recievers were open and Qb's just missed them. They were tackling well during that stretch which masked a lot of weaknesses. S and DL is a must upgrade in offseason.

2. Run Game-Hate to quote madden but when you have 2 and 3 RB's getting carries you have none. Noone wants to win the job outside of Tatum healthy but turf toe is pretty much season ending for a player of his type=speeed guy. No run game average denver team. Need to get a#1 back in offseason which will mean a rookie or trade back for Portis(my idea only never would happen.)

3.Special Teams-NFL network guys called it, denvers special teams suck plain and simple, from punter, returns, return coverage=ST coach. Get wallet out Bowlen.

4.QB play passing game=Jake just isn't picking up 3rd downs that is what I noticed and has been beat to death. OL doing only average job and Plummer to his credit is one of the BEST in the league at avoiding sacks. YES plummer is great at something. All recievers dropping passes at poor times. The low scoring O has been a concern that any guy with an eye for football was going to catch up with. With no huge plays by Walker this team would have a couple more losses. We should see Cutler this week but as I have heard You can't count on anything from a rookie but he can give what 16 is doing.

Bottom line is team isn't making plays when you have to and it has caught up with them. In fact I think SHanny has done a great Job getting this team to 7-4 with the schedule he has played. THe D is middle of road and so is the Offense(probably worse).

Cutler must start now because even if Jake finishes with a 10-6 record you aren't winning the SB with only 10 wins(one time). 10 wins is one or two playoff games and in Denver we all want championships and I just heard Plummer is going to blow up on Sportscenter when they return. Lets go Jay.

Next year=RB, DL, S help. I think the WR with Walker and Marshall is bright, Smith is a 3 now has lost a step as they say. Need PLAYMAKERS on D at S and DL. Has been discussed thoroughly here.

Well at least we fulfilled our "This whole team sucks" thread requirement for every loss. You didn't rip on the coaching staff, but other than that you covered the bases.

Our weakness is Jake Plummer. Sorry but he can't make big plays or he makes mistakes. He keeps putting the D on the field and wearing them out. Jake is a mistake. Get him off the field

Our Linebacker corps needs no upgrade whatsoever, and I stand by that even after tonight.

Other than that...ST sucks, D line sucks, and the whole offense is broken. We need a rebound to stay competitive...and the Seahawks won't be easy.

Man, this is one of the worst, if not the worse losses I have seen for the Broncos. I am just really sad right now. so many things wrong. Special Teams sucked, the offense was just terrible IMO, 38 ****ing yards rushing the ball!, dropped passes, unable to pick up third downs, defense couldn't stop the run, defense gave up important plays, it was just very depressing.

To top it off, I just feel so bad for jake right now. It's a shame he had to go out like this. The dropped passes really pissed me off! I think jake really played with a lot of heart tonight, and it just didn't happen for him. I really don't think he will be the starter next week now. It's just sad because he has done some really good things for us and loves to compete and plays with heart out there. He's just a good guy, and I am really truly sad for him this year.

Also what Im sad about is this was just a tough tough loss. When this season started my expectations were super bowl. Now Im just hoping for the last seed in the playoffs.

Im just extremly sad for this team.......

Coaches have had to gamble alot and they have made some stupid choices, EX kicking off to Hall with 15 sec instead of squib crap like that but they have had to gamble by going for it on 4ths running ball on 3rd downs after passing on first two. Team isn't making plays both sides of the ball, untimely penaties am I supposed to blast shanny for jumping offsides or hitting Q in head?

i have to say this stat speaks for itself and tonight::

KC rushing OVER 220yrds.
Denver Rushing 38 yrds.

They made larry johnson who is good look like the immaculate reception of running backs.!!

No pass rush
bring back saurbraten , ernester only played for a job and hasnt done squat
special teams blows. BYE BYE ST coach!!\\sad such high aspirations and we cant do a thing about it. start the cutler era already time to rebuild.

1 thing if we can trade up for a QB can we trade up for a pass rusher??
just wondering

Not sure what this would do, but what about Hermdinger, I know SHanny is the man with the final calls, but some new blood would help...a few new wrinkles...maybe, something?

I will eat my crow there, I thought a change OC would be an upgrade, but let me tell you why I'm an moron and anyone who agreed with me. Who is a HC? Kubiak or Hermidinger?

The defense just held the cheifs to one touchdown, which only happened because of penalties with both ferg and brandon out. How do you expect them to stop LJ for so long when their offense can't stay on the field. All they need is a one or two D-lineman to get pressure and fill the holes better to slow down the RB. They had fair games, where they had a chance to win against possibly the best QB ever with his best game of the season, and the two best RB's in the league. Their back seven is good enough once they get their D-line better.

D never MADE A PLAY ON A 3rd Down to force just 1 three and out so O didn't have to go 80+ yards. O didn't MAKE PLAYS when it counted either.

Well, I wouldn't say we need to rebuild, but the glaring weaknesses of this team IN ADDITION TO AND OUTSIDE OF the QB position have now become so obvious, I'm not sure what kind of football moron couldn't comprehend them at this point.

No special teams.

No pass rush.

Crap o-line play.

38 yards rushing.

A different RB every week.

... and potentially even emerging problems at CB with Williams struggling, in addition to other probs.

This team has work to do, and people are finally opening up their eyes to the fact that it's more than just Plummer. Tonight was a painfully obvious example.

I dont think we need to upgrade they all are good players but not great. The difference between good and great is making plays. 0 INT's last 2 years and the last one was DJ williams on xmas against Tenn. DJ has actually been a bit of a dissappointment after promising rookie year. Much rather had Steve Jackson. They are fast and fly around but are average at blitz and zone coverage.

its not their fault. COYERS call the plays and he never actually designs sucessfull calls...he is to vanilla or to complex can never just call a good play. He doesnt use our LB talent how they should be used
