View Full Version : Will Plummer fall apart against the Chiefs now?

I can't imagine what is going on behind the scenes right now. What will Plummer's attitude be like in this game? Is he even going to try? This is a huge game, could be the turning point of the season, really. You can't tell me Plummer isn't going to have alot on his mind tomorrow. If he throws two picks in the first half, I wonder if we'll see Cutler tomorrow?

Plummer is 0-5 at Arrowhead. He's had one mediocre game there (2003). The rest all sucked.
Given that this is the best defense we've had since 1997, I'd say he's in for a world of hurt.

Cutler plays and we win. Just a gut feeling.

its the very reason im very concerned about the Cutler news so early.
It is a ballsy move by Shanny to leak this info(if its true), it can either be Jake comes out firing trying to keep his job, or it could be him tanking with all that pressure on his mind.
Very weird how this is going down, all i want is a T-day Win, going to be a tough game.

I don't think he totally falls apart. I think the Chiefs will win, but it will not be because Plummer has a complete breakdown.

Question is would he fall apart without all this news. I could say yes and have a 70% chance of being right.

Even great QB's on the first trip to Arrowhead as the starting QB have had bad games. Young, Marino, Brady, Palmer, Vick even Rivers had his worst game of the year at Arrowhead, the list goes on and on. No way your Coach is going to put Cutler into that spotlight the first game.

The Chiefs are the team that ruined Ryan Leaf's career when he played in Arrowhead.

Um, Leaf's problems were much bigger than losing in narrowhead. He was a royal douche bag that was lazy and treated people and coaches poorly.

Leafs career was ended before it started. Dude just couldn't hack it. Pressure got to him and he was not that good.

Jake is gonna be so distracted by this news if he hasn't been told ahead of time by the coaches.
I would expect him to come out and play even more erratic that usual, as impossible as that sounds.

Best defense since 97, what happened that year ?
What happened last week against the Raiders.
Your so full of chit. With even a decent showing
from Plummer with NO pics we will win. You lucky pukes won't get saved by a penalty this week.

So your saying this is plummers sixth time going into arrowhead, I can't figure out your math he has only been in Denver since 03 which this makes 4th year.

Um, we held them to 13 points. That's what happened.
Quit being a hypocrite. The Broncos struggled to beat the Raiders as well this year. Chiefs-Raiders games are always close, regardless of how good the teams are.
How about your pathetic loss to San Diego? Can't even beat them in your own backyard. We sure as hell could.

LOL. The only person that hurts Jake is his damn self.
Preston Parsons could beat your D given a few weeks practice.Hilarious!

I'd tell you to stick your yardage stats up yer arse but that would only encourage you.
FACT Stats mean fvck all, points conceded and scored determine winners and Champions. Up until last week Denver had conceded the fewest points in the league by a good measure. We'll just have to re-up that ante again tonight.

Look, eddie, I realize you don't want to let the past go, but it's time to face the reality of the situation. The Chiefs finally have a good defense, as I predicted we would before the season. It's OK. It had to happen eventually.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jake play a great game tonight. He's capable of having great games. He just can't be counted on week in and week out. I'm honestly not sure having a great game tonight should be enough to save his job, but it probably will. But he'll still have to be on a very short leash.

Jake is inconsistant but capable of a great game. So is the entire Chiefs team. We play well a few games and absolutely horrible others(against Pittsburg). If the Chiefs play well, and Jake shows up...we have a great Thanksgiving Game. This is what I expect. I also expect the Chiefs to win by less that 6.
Here's to a great game, with no injuries!

Plummer never plays well at Arrowhead but it's not just him it's the entire Broncos team. Playing DEN at Mile High is extremely tough and the Broncos are a totally different team when playing at Arrowhead.
KC are as healthy as they have been since the beginning of the season and given the atmosphere, Thanksgiving holiday and what's at stake, the Chiefs are going to be more than pumped up. Herm is taking the leash off of Trent Green, he will throw more than 16 times this game. Pound the rock with LJ over and over and control the tempo of the game. DEN has had a tough time stopping LJ and I don't see this game being any different. Should be a great close game though. KC 23 DEN 17.

Have to agree that exposing Ryan Leaf ain't all that but I was at that game. He came into the week with a 2-0 record and was all "Arrowhead is nothing special" attitude. He ended up throwing more completions to the Chiefs then his own players (I seem to remember two completions on the day). His career went down the tubes after that game but -- I agree -- I think the collection of broken marbles in his head had more to do with the meltdown (even though KC did break a few of 'em).
Should be a great close game though. KC 23 DEN 17.
I would do cartwheels naked on my front lawn if Plummer could put 17 points on the board on the road in Arrowhead.
Yeah well that would prolly be pretty damn ugly but I doubt it would repulse anyone as bad as Plummer is likely to play tonight.

Somehow I don't buy that notion at all, Atlas... the only ones I've seen who want him to fail are rival fans 'cause a Plummer failure today most likely means a Broncos loss and none of us wants to see that.

The only thing that gives me even the barest shread of hope is that this game is in November instead of December. I give us about a 25% chance of winning. I hope I'm wrong. I hope the news that Jake's time here as the starter will relieve him of all that pressure and fear: the worst has come to pass for him. This is his farewell game. There are no longer any consequences to worry over. Maybe he will jog out of that tunnel in a state of nihilistic clarity and play like a Samurai. Already dead.
But probably not.
