Used to be Bob vs The Mane all week long when the Chiefs and Broncos played. This Thursday night thing is robbing us! Throw in the fact that I'm in Kansas City and haven't had alot of internet time, and I'm in withdrawal.
Oh well. The fallout from Denver's loss should be enjoyable over the next 10 days.
Chiefs 28, Broncos 13

Keep dreaming. 28-13 is a bit much. You aren't the chargers. I say Broncos 12 Chiefs 9. It could very well be vice versa but 28 points is too much when both teams are on a short week and have injuries.

That is a GREAT point. WE BEAT THE CHARGERS.

We're pretty healthy. We got four starters back this week. This is as healthy a team as we've been since Week 1.

You guys suck tonight. I hope this thread is stuffed with hate-filled vitriol in the morning. Goodnight, sweet Donks.

You beat them weeks ago, now the Charger would wipe the field with you. I am switching it up, I say Denver 31 KC 13.

We could lose by 50 points and n'er score a point and it would only take seeing number 6 to take the field against Seattle to give me more joy than I've felt since Bailey signed. Would I like to win? Sure. But I've resigned myself to the fact that win or lose this team isn't going anywhere with number 16 under center, so forgive me and others if we are particularly indifferent toward this game. Do I hope the Broncos win and will I root for them to? No question. But at this point this game is just an even in between what has been a headache of a season and the change to something great.

You just went right where I was going Kaylore. I'm not saying that a loss against the Chiefs wouldn't upset me, because the playoff implications would certainly be disturbing. But the fact that the cushion on the other side of that loss would be a big number six, well, that's some damn fine tonic.

This week has seemed more like a month, with regards to football. Every day after a beat-down like that is like 10 days, and now with this QB stuff happening, it's just off the charts long.

No matter what happens, I just hope like hell that Jake doesn't justify his starting position and we are stuck with him against the Seahags. Your thoughts mirror mine, we won't win the SB this year, give us some damn Cutler these last 5 games.

I would love to see good Jake show up but all signs point to no. He's a dead man walking and can't execute even the most basic passes. He's been bad all year except a few games and in one of those he couldn't make the play when we needed it. I would love for Jake to play well but I can't muster any shred of hope that on a short week in a stadium he's never played well in he's suddenly going to go "Unitas" on us.

Wouldn't that be hilarious if he pulled one of his greatest games out of his pocket something like a 30 for 30 and 400 yards with 5 touchdowns no ints. I say we still bench him, because eventually bad jake will want to come out to play.

Lets try to be realistic...
Arrowhead eats opponants, even Bronco players admit that.
Jake is screwed, his own Coach has turned on him the day before a critical game...
Any unemotional assesment of this game gives every advantage to KC
Chies by 7 in a close game untill Shannahan tries something cute and Jake screws it up.
Kennison will burn the Broncos once deep maybe twice

Bingo...I'd take 42-0 Chefs it meant seeing Jake on the bench.

Its amazing to see people have finally come full circle on the Plummer situation. I believe I posted after the 1st Chiefs Donks game that if you guys had either Green or Huard I would put you as either my 1 or 1a to go all the way, and you probably would have won or reached another SB over the past few years... I was summarily laughed at for this point, but your rushing game seems to be doing okay, and if you had someone back there that could simpy run an Offense and not commit huge turnover's you'd be fine w/ your D.
What if Cutler doesn't end up panning out?

Yeah...TrINT the playoff virgin is definitely playoff tested...please. Besides...we had a guy last year (GoodJake) who didn't commit huge turnovers...at least for a while...and it didn't quite work out. Cutler will be the real deal. Just watch.

Plummer last year was a fluke and he showed his true piss down his leg colors. The guy has been a turnover machine his entire career. One year of fluke play does not change what he is...

Try to keep up...Fake had a solid first year as well, and has thrown more TD's than INT's every year he's been here except this season. He definitely progressed under Shanny...then collapsed under the pressure of having Cutler waiting in the wings.

You're simply arguing to argue. You just made the point that once Plummer feels any sort of competition he freezes like a deer in headlights. I guess I'm keeping up? My point has been that guy chokes when ever there has been pressure on him. This is the same dude that flipped off your fan and called into a radio station to bad mouth them by saying that they think they are such great fans but they really don't know anything....

Actually I'm arguing against the notion that Green or your backup would make us Super Bowl winners. They haven't exactly done that for you now have they? I'm waiting on Plummer to take a seat...doesn't mean I'm dumb enough to think Green/Huard is the next big thing...what has either proven?
