Fining both players is a good idea. Nalen was fined more $$ but he did instigate it.

Look, my question what did Igor do to cause Nalen to act that way??? There is a lot of stuff that happens in the line that we don't see, let not act like old Igor was a innocent bystander.

Nalen was playing the whistle was blowing when he cut. I agree it was not cool. So based on your math Igor should have the bigger fine he went after a player long after the whistle blew. Hit em twice I believe. Thanks for making a great point

Ol Igor is gonna get his azz kicked next time for the stuff he said about the oline on that video. I thought it was questionable for Tommy to go low there, but you can never be the one to fight back. You'll always get caught. Igor is an idiot.

thats bullsh it. nalen should not have been fine 2.5x more. i would have been ok with 15k to 10k but 25, thats ridiculous. set a precedent and tell these guys who take it into their own hands, let em know that the NFL will take care of it in a civilized way.
if igor had actually been smart enough to do something besides punch nalen in his shoulder pads, there might have been a serious injury for doing the same thing that nalen did(cheapshot), except for the fact that it would have been blatantly after the whistle and totally illegitimate.

I found this video from that link above and I'm just curious what some of you guys think about this play? It's a legal hit, as he hit Kiwinuka while he wasn't engaged with another player. But it's something that's obviously extremely dangerous and could seriously injure or end someone's career.

nalen dove at olshansky straight up, just like n a regular play, olshansky was able to jump back which is why cuts are legal, its a way of forcing the defender to give up his position

Defend what? The hit on Kiwanuka? No one here is defending that. If you are talking about other blocks, then I guess your beef is with the League. They look at it every year, and they never change it. If it was bad as your whining would suggest, I guess they would probably change it.
You guys are something else. You win one game, and act like you're elite. "Why don't you draft some REAL o-linemen?" If you were a fan prior to this season, you would remember how our offensive linemen have been kicking your team's asses for the last few decades.

Changing posts are a lack of respect, but diving at a guys knees after the play is over is ok?
that not the point of that post. And i have made my point that whatever happen is between Igor and Nalen, and what they do on the football field is between those two, thier teams and the league, it not between the fans of the teams. See there is clear separation between them and us.

More like breaking legs. You really think you guys are THAT much better than any other team in the NFL, the way you plug in ANY RB and they get yards?
Its called EVERY defensive player who plays against you is looking down instead of for the RB. You break a few legs here and there and then create parinoid defenders who are easier to block.
It is plain azz dirty. EVERYONE knows it.
Why complain about cut blocking when it's part of football? Always has been since football started. The tactic is legal from the high school ranks to the professional level.
Basically, you're saying the Broncos are overly violent in a game that requires it to be successful.

The best part is, after days of other fans telling you it was cheap, donk fans defending it, the league says "that was filthy accept this fine" and some of you still are sputtering about, trying to justify the same dirty crap people have been complaining about for years.
Its true, other teams employ the zone blocking scheme, but Denver obviously is doing things Atlanta, Green bay and the others aren't....and most of it involves cutting and rolling on the backs of knees of players away from the play. Filthy.

CUT DOWN
Blocks by Broncos offensive linemen have
ended a number of players' seasons in
recent years:
Oct. 25, 2004: Cincinnati defensive tackle
Tony Williams suffered a broken ankle when
cut block by Broncos right tackle George Foster.
Sept. 19, 2004: Jacksonville defensive end
Paul Spicer suffered a broken leg on a low
block by Broncos left tackle Matt Lepsis.
Dec. 1, 2002: San Diego defensive tackle
Jamal Williams suffered a dislocated ankle
when blocked from behind by Broncos guard
Steve Herndon.
Oct. 28, 2001: New England linebacker Bryan Cox
suffered a broken leg on a play involving Broncos
right guard Dan Neil. Cox said he was clipped in
the back of his leg by Neil; Neil denied hitting Cox.
Oct. 21, 2001: San Diego defensive lineman
Maa Tanuvasa suffered a broken ankle on a
cut block by Lepsis.

This thread is great!:yep:
Let's try side-tracking it a little.
The unfortunate thing is, someone's playoff chances are going to be in bad shape after the Denver at KC game.
Although if Jake manages to win at Arrowhead, then Denver is still only 1 game back, and then got to get past Seattle...and then...
The MAIN EVENT again! Hopefully it will be another Sunday Night game! Denver at San Diego! This time though, Castillo and Merriman will be in the game, and SD will be playing at home!
SD is unbeaten at home. And with Phillips on one side, Merrimen on the other, and Jamal and Castillo in the middle...look out...the Chargers' defense is nasty when everyone is healthy/not suspended (not the case the last 5 games LoL) 8')
And what about Vincent Jackson stepping up?!
Colorado product, went to Northern Colorado college. Jackson earned honorable mention all-state from the Rocky Mountain News as a senior at Widefield High School.
In 2003, Jackson received national attention, earning All-America honors as he shattered school single-season records with 1,462 yards and 21 touchdowns on 66 receptions.
Jackson continued to assault the record books in 2004, again earning All-America honors while being named Great West Conference Offensive Player of the Year. He caught a school single-season record 80 passes for 1,382 yards (17.3 average).
Jackson rewrote most of the school's records during his 46-game career. He finished with 177 receptions for 3,548 yards (20.0 average) and 37 touchdowns, breaking the old marks of 168 catches by Boerema (1982-85), 2,507 yards by Tillman (1986-89) and 20 scores by Grable (1996-99).

Sept. 19, 2004: Jacksonville defensive end
Paul Spicer suffered a broken leg on a low
block by Broncos left tackle Matt Lepsis.
This is what Jack Del Rio had to say about it.
http://www.jaguars.com/Story/3873.asp
Del Rio absolved Denver offensive left tackle Matt Lepsis of wrongdoing for the block that fractured Spicer's leg. Lepsis went low on Spicer as Spicer was being blocked high by running back Reuben Droughns.
"It did not appear to be a deliberate attempt to hurt him. It's a violent sport and unfortunately things like that happen," Del Rio said.

Both hits took place in excatly the same sneaky way , by taking a shot at a players knees when the play is basicly over.
1) on a kill the clock spike play after the spike with the play dead and with the clear intent to injure.
2) From behind after the pass with the clear intent to futher injure a player who is already limping.
