yeah but still, cutler in arrowhead, cuts down on communication. jake has also tended to play down against weaker defenses.

EDIT: that was stupid, jake has played down against just about every defense besides the colts and steelers.

Every board has it's chicken-littles. Their defense is vastly improved. That thread is almost comical, they gave up 13 points and under 200 yards passing. Teams used to get 200 passing on them in a quarter. Hell, we gave up more pass yards to Walter than they did to Brooks.

Rush Defense KC 115.7 ranked 16th Denver 90.2 ranked 5th

Pass defense KC 199 ranked 12th Denver 225.3 ranked 24th

Scoring Defense KC 19.5 ranked 11th Denver 14.6 ranked 4th

(offense KC is ranked 12th in points Denver T17th)

The Chiefs just have some consistancy problems...there is no question they are improved. Injuries are taking their toll. We are a better team with Derrick Johnson on the field...I also don't feel like Hali has been as effective since he had an injury.

My biggest concern is our interior line. It is getting pushed around a little bit more than it did early in the season.

Having said that, this defense makes plays and can frustrate an offense. They get the job done when needed. I look forward to Thursday.

Reading this, maybe we should start Cutler this week. I mean, I'd be ok with Jake slicing them up, but why waste the opportunity for the rookie?
