View Full Version : time for Shanahan to practice what he preaches.....

Plummer isn't good enough to start on this team.....so Mike should start the rook.
The bottom line is this.....Plummer, if he gets to the playoffs, isn't good enough to win a playoff game (unless it's against the patsies....whoopty-friggin-do). So what's the point of WASTING nearly half a year, watching Plummer do his spot-on "dead QB" impression?
I challenge any Denver fan to honestly say how many times they TURNED OFF THE TV when Plummer was given an opportunity to move his team on offense. The opening drive script has been completely exposed as flawed. If Shanahan doens't want to look like a complete fool.....he needs to bench Plummer. I don't care if we're at Arrowhead on a short week.....perfect opportunity. Nobody expects Plummer to win this game. So why not give him the rest of the year off. I bet the lockroom would appreciate it. I know it would give me a reason to be excited about my team for a change.

I have never turned off the TV (although I did pick one up several years ago when Dillon was setting a rushing record on us, and almost threw it out my appartment window) on a bronco game. Sure some are very bad but I tollerate the abuse and keep dreaming of something better.

Shanahan has made his decision and he sticking with Plummer. And we all know that Shanahan can be a stubborn SOB when think he needs to be.

I never turned off my TV although in 1995 when we were playing the Oilers I kicked the screen part through the whole damn thing after one of their running backs had a huge run on a key play.
I just say give Jay C the nod after Plummer screws us against KC, so he has 10 days to prepare. Although I would be excited to see him start on Turkey day.

No true Bronco fan turns off the TV no matter what - we have dignity and can accept losses. At least I can, it's the nature of the game - you win some you lose some.
That's why i'm not so worried to throw Cutler in there - we make the playoffs, we don't make the playoffs - either way i'm a fan and will remain for my entire life no matter what the organization does or doesn't do.

It's about time at least someone brought up Plummer's poor play. It's time for Shanny and Dinger to pull their heads out of their..a....err...sand.

Well, Shanahan has always said the guy who is the best in practice is the guy who starts. Posters here have reported that Cutler is not getting the opportunity to practice. So, there you go.

Turning off the game is like turning my back on the team. If I see that we are going to lose, I just sit quietly on the couch and sulk for about 15 minutes...then avoid SportsCenter and sports radio all week.
I HATE losing!
Go Broncos!!

How can you turn the tv off. If this game bothered you how have you watched the last three and a half seasons. The offensive play was not breaking news.

Exactly what I do. I didn't even watch MNF as I was too jaded by the loss.

Exactly....if he got reps Shanny would have to start him.

apparently the poster is not aware of the 70s and early 90s and every SB loss in between. You don't turn off the tv.

I NEVER turn the TV off when the BRONCOS are on, no matter how poorly
they are doing. It's the BRONCOS, I treasure every moment I can watch
my team.

Not only did I not turn off the TV, I stood up and started pacing around during the final drive...

Same here. I also send an email to my friends telling them that I can't talk about football for a few days. They usually respect my wishes.

If I am not in the chat room I am probably pacing myself. I stand up through most of the game.

Never turn off the TV! I may cry, whine, throw a fit, scream or yell. I might hide out for a few days afterwards, too....or I may avoid this place due to frustration...but, NEVER will I NOT watch a game that I have the ability to watch!
