Every win and loss is on the team. Yeah....homeboy tossed that frickin pick...but had the defense held we wouldn't have been in that postion. Had the offense played better. Had the receivers gotten more seperation at times and so on.

Im in the camp to put out the best players possible. If those players dont play up to standards than they need to be benched no matter how long they've been in the league.

That being said, I'm probably changing my tune with Jake. Even though I totally disagree with the assessments of Kaylore (and the like), this D raises many problems. For the past couple of weeks I have posted references to football outsiders where they rate the D as inferior to the O. It is easy to see that the points against in this team had more to do with the opposition (inferior Os), than Denver's strength. That being said, I cannot see how Denver can go that far into the playoffs. Unless they are planning on being more creative come the playoffs (or near the playoffs) with the D, it is highly unlikely this team can perform well. That being the case, then Shanny should consider Cutler.
Although I don't think he can perform up to Jake's level (Cutler is not even getting touches during the week, which says A LOT), I do think that if he clicks, he will be able to perform to a higher level than Jay.
If the D were sounder, than I would not consider Jake's replacement at all, but this D has some serious issues at the moment (in fact, I think the D was more dangerous last yr). All that I can hope is that they will become more creative with their blitz packages (more like last yr) to at least give some different looks to good opposing QBs.
PS I don't think the DL stinks, I just think that it is the strongest weakness at the moment (i.e., they are avg, and we need good to excellent from a pass rush perspective).

Team loss, ST sucked, Offense sucked, Defense sucked.

I thought that might lead to too much cynicism and not allow a clear picture of whom is in which camp.

That's the problem. There isn't just one thing wrong with this team. The defense has not been doing it's job (specifically the D-line), special teams have allowed opponents to have great field position to start the drive, and Jake hasn't had many spectacular games this year. It's really a combination of things. I'm glad we have pulled together as a team to have the 7-3 record we do, but I fear for the rest of the season if we don't get these things corrected...

then consider it a question of where to start. certainly though the whole thing can't be falling apart, the broncos are 7-3.
I tend to think the defense is what it is. a 4-3 w/ a lot of fast linebackers who can't blitz, but who are small and thusly require the protection of better runstopping dlineman. its a brutal force(usually) at stopping the run. but can flail about a little figuring out how to stop the pass.

Fair enough. I stand by my vote that the D-line sucks...

I want to pick the first 3 options, but I had to go with the biggest problem, Plummer.

STFU!!! Rod Smith and Tom Nalen are awesome!!!;D

Things we need to improve on (changing one might help the others as well) D-Line, Jake, special teams, Coyer in no particular order.

I think there are multiple things wrong, but really only one of them can be fixed during the regular season. Everybody knows which one that is.

I'm in the don't have a spectacular 2nd Quarter camp. Don't go into the locker room thinking you are the shiznit. Because your opponent is going into the locker room knowing they have to make the adjustment to everything you've shown them....

The team is at a crossroads at several positions. Champ, Javon and the LBs are good stuff, the rest need work at some or all aspects of the game, depending on who we're talking about.

This is a rather esoteric viewpoint, but I won't discount the validity. We're getting destroyed on halftime adjustments this season.
You can't just relax because things are going your way. You have to anticipate your opponent will try to take away what you're doing well and try to be one step ahead of them.
Maybe that's what Mike was trying to do with all the passes downfield in the third quarter. It would have been a different game if we could have connected on one or two.

I say multiple. Jake sucks but the colts loss wasnt on him. Strange year. You would think we are 3 and 7 right now.

in my humble opinion we are weak everywhere jake is struggling we have 1 top WR the running game is erratic the o line is not geling dumervill in coverage lynch is wayyy past prime and cant cover darrant is sucky in coverage sapp has no clue on punt returns and coaches dont adjust anything at halftime we are totally predictable yet we have great talent if they all play as a team team being the big word and fans needa cheer for the team not bash plummer all game and leave early was very pathetic lets all cheer for wins and hope all get together no matter who is playing

Sapp had two kickoff returns for 56 yards.
He doesn't return punts. The Chargers only punted three times anyway. Buy a vowel. They only returned two for a total of 25 yards. I don't think that Sapp was the reason we lost because of punt coverage. They had one 18 yard punt return. BFD.

I've always thought the size of our LB's limited the dline in terms of its pass rush. need to protect the lil guys.

Two camps:
1) Camp that dont care who plays.
2) Camp that only cares about winning.
