NO WAY!!!!

We are what our record says we are, 7-3, and STILL in control of our destiny.

This poll is to see where people think we will finish.. As most know, im an optimist and i dont see us losing a game from here on out.

The D showed that they can dominate, but once again due to play calling and poor execution, they lost a 17 point lead.

So where do you stand?

7-9
8-8
9-7 ... etc

We will know our fate before we go to sleep on Thursday night. A loss on Turkey day and its over.

THis was a huge loss, huge, but it just makes thursday and rematch with chargers MUST win and this loss won't be such a big deal. Loss in either one probably means a wildcard and a 1 and done or 2 games and done.

We CAN'T lose Thursday and still have a realistic chance for the playoffs because it's another divisional game. Having said that, I see one more loss in our future (possibly the Bengals) and we finish the season 12-4.

A lot of votes for 10-6.

Let your voices be heard? What 3 games do you think we will lose?

No way. You people are crazy. Things may look bleak after a tough loss, but we have too many veterans on our roster and too good a coaching staff just to just fold up shop and finish 5 - 5 (or worse) over our final 10 games.

11 - 5 at the worst. Doing the cursory glance over the schedule I count Arrowhead and Qualcomm as losses. The rest wins. Do you people really think we'll lose to Cincy or Seattle at home? The 49ers? Come on. Hell, with as much moxy and pride as this organization has I think they could go out on Thursday and shock everyone. I think they might just go to Qualcomm with a chip on their shoulder. Their capable.

Having said all that, you put Cutler in and all bets are off. I have no idea how the team or Cutler will react. It could go either way.

Don't give up. Adversity is what seperates our organization from the San Diegos of the world. Stand up and fight.

San Diego did not do anything to win this game. Denver ****ed up. Rivers did not look all world to me, neither did the charger defense. We didnt stop LT, and we lost. That maxim still holds true, no matter who the QB is.

We only have 6 games left BS. ;D

If Jay goes in , its cause he is better than Plummer and is ready to hold the reins, so my prediction still stands if that happens.

I know, but we started 5 - 1. So a 10 - 6 finish means we went 5 - 5 over the final 10 games.

Sorry that kinda came out of left field. As for Jay, I don't know. I suspect Shanahan wants to play him but won't because he's afraid of how the team might react. They are professionals and I don't think they would tank it, but if they feel the coaches are packing it in and lose confidence we are in trouble. It's not a knock on Jay its just that its a delicate deal when a team i s 7 - 3 coming off a season in which they nearly made the Super Bowl. I think if Shanhan wasn't worried about that (ala the Bubby vs Griese deal) he may have already made the move. The players in the lockerroom like Jake.

very true, its a touchy situation.

Im actual in agreeance with Khans assessment somewhat, if we lose Thurs., I think we could see Jay vs Seattle. 7-4 is far from out of it, but at that point it would prove all the ammo needs to bench Jake (cant win big games).

Im not sure what will happen, all i know is that this team is still good, they just flat out sucked it up 2nd half.

Why, why, why? 11 - 5 is not good enough any more? That's just the "cursory" glance. Those things don't always pan out the way you eyeball them. KC isn't going to win out. Although San Diego might because the NFL gave them a softball schedule.

I personally think the #5 seed playing @NE and @SD in the first two weeks wouldn't be all bad. If ever there were two teams I'd want to see, well it would be them.

What is wrong with 11 - 5 and the #5 seed? Are we too good to make the playoffs? Should we just tank it get a high draft pick and see what the young guys can do? Pull out Carlisle, Nalen and Rod. Put in Cooper, Meyers and Marshall. Pack it in.

And to think I got a reputation for being negative around here. Holy ****, where's the tylenol?

Its about winning the division. I give 2 ****s what the actual record is the division is the goal. Now you admit we prolly lose in KC and in SD that puts us not only out of the division chase (prolly 3 games back) but also most likely atleast 1 game back of the chefs. Yep thats 3rd place. WE must win in KC or at the very VERY least in SD or you can start your draft screening.

The loss last night put the postseason in serious doubt. You realize we will be tied with the chefs after Thursday and most likely 2 full games out of first. This loss was HUGE

We've still only lost 1 division game to the Chiefs soon to be 2 and SD's soon to be 2, so we will own the tiebreakers. ;D

The defense is very good but not quite great. The offense is average, at best. The special teams pretty much suck.

That will get us to 10-6, probably a wild card berth, and maybe (50/50) one win in the wild-card round. Then we get slaughtered the following week, probably by the Colts again.

Been there, done that.

AFAIC, the Cutler era may as well commence at any time.

Kansas City has already lost 4 games. Beating them Thursday would be a bonus, but I don't think they'll finish better than 11 - 5. We'd get the #5 seed if we make 11 - 5. They still have to play Baltimore, @San Diego, and Jacksonville in addition to us. chances are they'll have at least 5 loses. And we'll have split with them and have a better AFC record.

Bottom line 11 - 5 gets us in.

I have the Broncos losing at the Chiefs, at the Chargers, and losing to Seattle since expected to have some players back I believe for that game and I don't see the Bronco defense stopping either team and Shanahan will keep Plummer in the pocket so he can try to fool defenses. But let's in fact put Cutler in there, so teams can blitz the crap out of him and since Shanahan refuses to have outlet receivers, we can watch Cutler throw balls up for grabs as he's getting hit and have a career where he's always throwing off his back foot even when he has time to throw since this is a common occurence for QB's. Yeah, sounds like a winning plan to me.

Seattle wasn't playing well when they were healthy, or did you miss their games against Minnesota and Chicago? I'd be more worried about Cincy just because their O could do to us what Indy/Pittsburgh/San Diego did IMO. I think we'll beat both.
