View Full Version : Denver vs KC: Time to end the chefs season

We got beat by the better team against SD. There's no shame in losing to a hall of fame RB like Tomlinson and a Joke of a QB in Plummer ( Ha! - relax, I kid )
But it's time to move on. We face KC on a short week and a loss there would put us in a hole scraping for a wild card spot.
A win would put us right back in contention for the AFC West Crown (we still play the dolts) and an added bonus would be it would piss all over the chefs season and put them out of their misery.
I want to see the Mane revved up and rocking for this game! You know chef fans will be itching to spoil our season.
It's not going to be a high scoring game because KC will have to go max protect to keep Green's head clear, and Champ will take away one half of the field. That leaves us to handle Gonzo and he might not be ready. Even if he is, he'll be playing with a bad shoulder and he's not going to be able to outmuscle defenders for the ball, block etc.
This is the best chance we've had to win in camarrowhead for a long, long time.
Our rushing game is back and the D will show up. All we need is Jake to take care of the ball and we'll have a win.
I have complete trust in Shanahan. He knows this is probably a make or break game for us and I expect this team to be ready!
We should be at full strength injury wise with Gold/Ekuban back. If we need it we've got chef killer in Walker so I expect Shanahan to try some big play passes.
Come on Jake. This is your last freakin' season in Denver. Your last real chance to be on a winning team with playoff potential. I know you're a true competitor, so we'll need you to step up for this game. I know Plummer still has it in him to come up big in this game.

here we go...i find it humorous that the KC fan here has the tag line talking about #7s stats in the superbowls, all i ask is what KC QB has done better in the past 20 years?

Why just stop at 20 ? Oh, I know, that the only way to get to have any glory, right ? Sucks that deep down inside the Donks have to have this ( * ) by there name as a SB winner .
FTR, it's Donkey week, we are suppose to rattle each other, don't go crying to your mama, OK.;)

We certainly played like a bunch of jackasses the last game. I'll give you that.
But how likely do you think it is we lose two in a row under Shanahan?
Enjoy you're Turkey. Walker already had his early on in the season when he roasted your secondary and made them "gobble."

Ahhhh, I always look forward to this week. Win or lose, the smack from this week ought to last until next season. And with the number of starters we'll have out (or playing hurt), I'll be the first to admit that it could get ugly for us. I'm not too sure our 2nd team is ready for a mad set of Donks...
But either way, as long as we slap you silly enough to ruin your season, I'll be happy... I'd recommend you tell Nalen to wear an extra set of knee braces!!
Is that the kind of crap Scamafan coaches? Cut/chop blocks on a spike play. Just about sums up the class of your players!

:giggle:
Screw the cheaps. They've got a patchwork OL, with a QB who has trouble remembering his name, Gonzo's busted up, and their WRs suck.
I'm counting on a win. As a matter of fact I'm predicting a Bronco's win this thursday.
Even with a healthy Gonzo in week 2 and LJ rushing for over 100 we still held them to 6 points!

Good stuff.
The donks won't be finished with the butt hurt put on them by Sandy Eggo, at home by thursday. Jake PlummINT will still be sniffling in pregame warmups.
How does it feel, knowing that within 4 days, the donks can go from 1st to 3rd in the division?
Feeling confident? The next 3 weeks, your defense faces Larry Johnson, Shaun Alexander and Tomlinson again in his house. Some donk fans talking smack about Green's numbers yesterday, after a 10 week layoff and he was STILL better in the clutch than PlummINT. Taintum fumBell has 2 sprained camel toes, Mike Bell's vision isn't great and he's not an every down back.
The Chiefs did not look good vs the raiduhs yesterday, but I feel pretty good about them facing the donks at home, coming off a w, with the donks coming off of THAT loss at home. The lack of class of the donks was apparent at the end of the game, highlighted by Nalen's blatant cheap shot, punctuated by the 2 unsportsmanlike conducts.
Denver is a snowman, and its warming up outside.

Herm says its likely that Waters will be back at G, Gonzalez says he won't miss this game and D Johnson should also be back....Wesley might be, but I'm not sure I don't prefer Page starting....maybe wesley can take Knight's spot.

This is the best chance we've had to win in camarrowhead for a long, long time.
Are you high? How can anyone who's been watching this team seriously expect them to go into KC and win?
If it hadn't been Damon Huard's first start in however many years, they would have beaten us at home. As it was, we barely squeaked by. Larry Johnson put 130 yards on us 1) when they had no QB and it should have been easy to stop the run, 2) when their offensive line was still adjusting to not having Willie Roaf, and 3) while the defense was actually playing well. Lord only knows what will happen now.
Plummer is always good for at least 2 turnovers at Arrowhead, their defense is better than it's been in years past, and our offense is worse. How is any of that a recipe for success? And when has Trent Green ever shyed away from throwing the ball to Champ's side of the field? How many 100 yard games has Eddie Kennison had against us the last few years with Bailey covering him? If Javon Walker is somehow the "Chief killer", then Kennison should be arrested for genocide.
This has all the makings of the 2004 game when we went to KC and got pasted. The only bright side is that a loss won't cripple our post season chances. For that matter, though, despite the title of this thread, KC losing won't kill theirs, either. Especially if the Jags lose tonight.

this game has just become an elimination game, essentially. since we couldn't hold serve at home v sd, this game will either put us in the driver's seat for the wild card (and an outside shot at the division still) or it will put us in 3rd in division making us reliant on other teams to help us into the playoffs. given what LT did to us, look for LJ to have a big game on Thursday.

I can't see how our defense would hold to CHiefs to under 30 points in Arrowhead and I also fail to see how our offense would score above thirty the way the two units are playing.

Funny how this year is supposedly the best chance for the Broncos to pull off a win in Arrowhead, yet we were a coin flip away from beating you in your own house. The argument that the Chiefs don't have any wide receivers is lame. You've said that for three (going on four) years now and it still hasn't mattered.
All we need is Jake to take care of the ball and we'll have a win.
Sure. That's like saying, "All we need is to score more points than the Chiefs and we'll have a win!" Enjoy watching Jake and his famous "ball control" skillzzz....

If we dont beat denver at home, kiss the playoff goodbye. That Denver game is this teams Superbowl. If they cannot walk into that game ready to rip the nuts off a Lion then they do not deserve to win any of the rest of the games this season

The Chiefs should have lost to the lowly Raiders at Arrowhead , The Broncos will put a hurtin' on my favorite team. I hate The Broncos but that's how I see it. The Chiefs just have too many injuries and both of our lines are very weak. Put pressure on Green( which should be very easy), and it will be a very one dimensional game as far as The Chief's offense is concerned. I don't even think it will be a close game...

After watching KC the last two weeks against Miami and Oakland, I'm not confident in them beating ANY winning team, Arrowhead or not. The offensive line is blocking better, even with Waters out, but if Gonzo doesn't play, that will hurt.
On the flipside, Hali has been invisible after suffering a hip pointer a couple weeks back. He was instrumental in controlling the bootleg and misdirection plays in Denver. If he is still hobbling an unable to give 100%, that won't be good for KC. Still better than Hicks, mind you, but that's not saying much. DJ coming back at near full strength would really boost this defense. His explosiveness has been visibly lacking the last couple weeks (blitzes, tackles int he backfield). We'll see, I guess.

Since the chefs have been struggling the past two seasons the KC fans have pretty much abandoned the Orangemane and you want me to put up my account against your account here even though you barely post in the Mane?

This is a tough game to figure IMO. Neither team is playing at the top of their game thats for sure. denver has a big problem on offense that I believe primarily lies with the QB. The Chefs problem on offense is with the offensive line and with their injuries. Neither defense has played as well as they can recently. Why? I don't have a clue. The real head scratcher here is that this game is HUGE for both teams. Neither can afford to lose this. Chef's have homefield advantage, but that didn't help Denver much on Sunday night. I think it boils down to who wants it the most. I didn't feel that Denver wanted the SD game and it showed in the second half. I don't know enough about KC to know what motivates them. Too close to call. GO BRONCOS

Broncos roll - 31 - 17
Green gets knocked the F-out (again). Which is a negative because Huard is better.
Dainty gets allegator arms (again) having Lynch nightmares.
LJ busts his mangina, the one he draws with his fingers after a TD run.
Quittyson is a pus$.
Herm crys and calls the Broncos a bunch of cheaters and the Chef fans put an asterisk by this win, so they can hump their sisters with a clear conscience.
