I was tweaking my Directv account online today. I noticed in the area that allows you to change the programming that Directv was offering a free (yes, ZERO dollars) upgrade to the 'overpriced' SuperFan option. If you have the regular Sunday Ticket it may be worth your while to setup your online access to your account and see if you can tap into this extra HD coverage.
Thinking it was too good to be true, I called DTV first and was told it was still like 50+ dollars for the rest of the year. I told her that wasn't what the website said. She went to check again but we ended up getting disconnected. I went ahead and ordered it online and printed the free offer as my form of assurance that I would not be paying for it.
